George Clooney is not only handsome and talented, but the “Oceans Eleven” actor is also a terrific host. The two-time Oscar winner is set to once again play alongside his long-time friend, Julia Roberts. “Ticket to Paradise” will be released later this year and has Ol Parker as its director.
Clooney and Roberts have a history of appearing in the same movies together, dating back to 2001. Some of their movies together include The first two installments of the “Oceans Eleven” franchise, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” and “Money Monster.”
Besides Roberts, Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd are also part of the cast of “Ticket to Paradise.” Dever recently talked about her time on set and an incident when Clooney hosted the cast members first on his boat, then in his home. The visit to his home saw the actor cooking for his co-actors and being a great host.
George Clooney Invited ‘Ticket To Paradise’ Cast To His Home
Dever appeared on the Monday episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and gushed about the hosting abilities of one of her co-stars on “Ticket to Paradise.” The actress played alongside Clooney and revealed the actor was really hospitable to her and the rest of their cast members when they visited his home.
The 25-year-old said, “He was just like the nicest person in the world. He had the whole cast come one day … we were on this beautiful boat, and he fed us all this amazing food, then took us back to his house and cooked us all pizza.”

Dever continued, “I was literally like, ‘What am I doing? What is my life? This is crazy!” The actress also mentioned the 60-year-old’s twins, Ella and Alexander, calling them “super sweet.” She added that she thought the 4-year-olds were “great,” and she loved them.
Clooney Is In ‘Ticket To Paradise’
In a previous interview with Deadline, Clooney mentioned his upcoming rom-com “Ticket to Paradise” with Roberts. The actors will once again play side by side but in a different genre from their previous films.
The duo will reportedly play a divorced couple who embark on a trip to Bali to halt their daughter’s nuptial plans. The romantic comedy will have the director of “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” Ol Parker as the filmmaker and co-writer.
Dever is also part of the cast, as well as Billie Lourd. Clooney described the movie as “something special” and revealed that it would be mostly “old-fashioned. Production for “Ticket to Paradise” started in January.
Clooney joined ‘Ticket to Paradise’ because of Roberts
According to the “Gravity” actor, he immediately reached out to Roberts when he got the script. He recalled, “The minute I read it, I called Julia, and I said, ‘Did you get this?’ and she said, ‘Yeah,’ and I said ‘Are you going to do it?’ and she goes ‘Are you going to do it?’ and I said, ‘Yeah if you do it.’”
Clooney referred to the casting as “one of those very lucky things,” especially given the history of the two actors. The Oscar winner added that filming was “going great,” and they were all having the time of their lives on set.
“It’s going great, man,” he said. “We’re having the time of our lives. Julia is just fantastic in it, and this wonderful actor named Lucas Bravo who’s just absolutely the funniest thing in the movie, and you know, Billie Lourd and Kaitlyn Dever.”
George Clooney And Julia Roberts Have Been In Several Movies Together
The long-time friends and Oscar winners have appeared in no less than four movies together, excluding their latest rom-com. Clooney bagged an Academy Award for his role in “Argo” and a second time as the best supporting actor for “Syriana.” Roberts, on the other hand, got an Oscar for her lead role in “Erin Brockovich.”
As far back as 2001, Clooney and Roberts appeared together in “Oceans Eleven” as a divorced couple, Danny and Tess Ocean. They appeared again in “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” a year later as Jim Byrd and Patricia Watson.
2004 saw the duo reprising their role in “Ocean Eleven’s” sequel, “Ocean’s Twelve.” They also appeared together in the 2016 crime thriller film “Money Monster” as Lee Gates and Patty Fen.
