Serena Williams And Mini-Me Olympia Go At It On Tennis Court In Playful Clip

Serena Williams and her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr recently faced off in a playful tennis match where they displayed their prowess in the sport.

Serena and the youngster never ceased to impress fans with their intimate mother-bond connection both on and off social media.

The 40-year-old updated her Instagram not too long ago with a short video showing herself and Olympia competing on the court while taking pleasure at the moment.

"Sometimes it be ya own mini!" Serena exclaimed in the caption, describing Olympia’s miss on the court as was captured in the post's clip.

The mother-of-one and her kid rocked matching Nike sportswear which appeared to be a two-piece set comprising a long-sleeved blouse with a skirt.

The video showed the pro athlete passing the tennis ball over to her opponent Olympia who looked charged for receiving the ball, but unfortunately, the mini-athlete missed.

Fans reacted quickly to the playful post, including Olympia's loving father and Serena's husband, Alexis Ohanian. He remarked, "I refuse to believe @olympiaohanian missed that."  

Other commenters gushed about how adorable the mother and daughter looked while also noting the happy expression on Serena’s face.

Caroline Wozniacki and Jeanette Jenkins called the duo cute, adding heart emojis, while a few other supporters looked forward to the tennis star’s return to court.

The Blast previously shared that Serena and Olympia showcased their fashion expertise as they donned coordinating Balmain dresses during their time in Paris.

The proud mother shared a couple of snaps on her Instagram, showing off their stylish poses while rocking the chic long-sleeved turtle-necked dresses.

Serena paired her outfit with a red boot while Olympia wore sandals. They were both captured in a well-designed suite with neutrally-painted walls.

"Hey @olympiaohanian, remember that time when we were in Paris? And we slayyyyyyed," the sportswoman captioned the post and tagged Balmain.

Her sister Venus Williams and spouse Alexis were taken by the post as they took to the comments to gush about the duo’s look.

Serena’s definition of fashion is pretty outstanding as she has shown several times how skilled she is in that department, with wears from her clothing brand as well as other labels.

As the outlet recounted, the 23-time Grand Slam champion wore a stunning piece from her S by Serena fashion line.

The clothing named the Riley dress was a red and black patterned body-hugging mid-length frock with an adjustable neckline.

She completed the look with a pair of black pumps, simple jewelry, and a short blonde bob with black streaks. Speaking of simple jewelry, it included a gold necklace and a diamond ring.

S by Serena’s website features all the beautifully-fabricated pieces that have always gotten praises from users.

Earlier this month, The Blast reported that Serena did not feel the usual immediate connection with her daughter like most mothers feel. However, the pair are tighter than ever now as they are besties.

The sports icon's detailed pregnancy experience was shared in an ELLE Magazine article where the star revealed that her pregnancy was unplanned.

Two days before the 2017 Australia Open, Serena discovered she was 'with child,' and her body had already adjusted from playing tennis to "grow and nurture" her infant.

After finding out about the pregnancy, she had to reach out to her husband to fly over to where she was in Melbourne before spilling the news. Serena said:

"My first trimester brought headaches and a weird metallic taste in my mouth, but all in all, I had a powerful pregnancy. I guess I’m one of those women who likes being pregnant. I enjoyed the positive attention. I’m used to getting negative attention from the press and critics, but this was different."

Her life at the time seemed pretty easy-going as she settled at home and focused on keeping herself healthy for the baby.

The fashion entrepreneur admitted that she was nervous about meeting Olympia when it was time for delivery because she did not have the "amazing Oh my God, this is my baby moment" even though she loved being pregnant.

She added that she "kept waiting" to feel if she would connect with her unborn child, but it never happened. Nevertheless, she felt very protective of her descendant.
