Months after Meagan Good and her pastor spouse Devon Franklin went their separate ways, he marked his 44th birthday with a boys' trip.

The former couple tied the knot in 2012 despite heavy criticisms from Franklin's church community over his wife's lifestyle. They later ended their marriage in 2021.

The "Live Free: Exceed Your Highest Expectations" author took to social media to sneak peek into the boys' trip he took to celebrate his birthday.

Franklin clocked a new age on April 13 and seemed to have spent it on a trip with many of his male buddies, as seen in his recent update.

"The Truth About Men" author took to his personal Instagram page on Tuesday, April 19, to give an insight into how he marked his 44th year around the sun.

Franklin uploaded a carousel of photos of him and a 7-man group of friends at an undisclosed location. He sported a tight-fitting blue t-shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers.

The birthday boy hinted in the caption of his post that his celebratory trip was one for the books and expensive to boot. He also thanked his attendees for making his day, writing:

"What’s done with the brothers stays with the brothers! [rolling on the floor laughing, fist bump, and money bag emoji] I’m so grateful for the fellas helping me celebrate this true year."

Good was, of course, absent from the festivities. The Blast disclosed that Franklin noted he and his ex-wife were separated four months before he officially filed for dissolution of marriage.

The obtained legal documents showed that the "Breakthrough" producer claims their initial separation date is August 21, 2021. He also cited "irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.

Franklin's official filing came on Monday, December 20, 2021, at a County Court in Los Angeles. He also ensured to prevent any payments on both sides.

The court documents revealed that the "Heaven Is Real" producer asked the court to “terminate” the ability to award either of them spousal support.

This request usually means there was an existing prenuptial agreement between the couple. The exes also have no children, which canceled the need for child support payments.

Amid their divorce filing, the couple released a statement published by PEOPLE. After much prayer and consideration, they explained that they decided to go into their futures "separately but forever connected." The statement further read:

“We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault. We believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love. We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife."

The former spouses and co-authors of "The Wait" also extended their extreme thanks to God for blessing their lives with each other.

Meagan Good Embraces Singlehood Following Divorce

Just as Franklin declared his 44th chapter his "true" year, Good also positively embraced life as a single woman following the end of her nine-year marriage.

The Blast shared that the "Harlem" actress updated her Instagram page with a slideshow of photos showing her new moniker post-divorce.

Good took the images at the SoFi Stadium, where the LA Rams House played against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, January 17.

What caught the eye of internet users was not just the appealing green number 8 Rams jersey the "Think Like A Man 2" actress sported, but the quote at the back of the outfit.

Good used her jersey to proudly declare and embrace her single status with her favorite line from Janet Jackson’s 1985 single “Nasty.”

The quote read, 'Ms. Good If Ya Nasty' in large print. The 40-year-old's Instagram bio used to read “Mrs. Franklin if ya nasty,” but she replaced the title with her maiden name.

Last year, Good appeared on "The Real" to talk about the notable changes she has been experiencing in her professional and personal life.

Although the "My Wife and Kids" star did not mention her split from Franklin, she explained that she has been directing her energy towards growth and making her “soul ready for 40.”

Good revealed that she quit taking alcohol and began receiving therapy. She credited faith for being her life’s foundation and touched on why she made such a drastic lifestyle change, saying:

"I was like, I really need to deal with these things and just sit down and dig in and be really intentional about this next season and this next act of my life."
