Jessica Simpson knows a thing or two about mixing business and family, and she hopes to introduce another family member into her successful fashion business.
The "Dukes of Hazzard" star recently opened up about her plans for her namesake fashion brand, and she wants her husband, Eric Johnson, involved in the sweetest way!
Jessica Simpson Plans To Branch Out To Men's Clothing Line
In a new interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Simpson discussed dominating the fashion world by shifting her focus onto men's fashion. The renowned businesswoman told the publication that she was working on creating a successful men's clothing line under her brand.
In her words, "We are going into boys and men's clothing, which I've always wanted to do, because I know how a guy's butt should look in their jeans."
Simpson, who believes herself a disruptor and loves "always putting out something new," already has the perfect male model to kickstart her dreams of owning a male clothing line, her beloved husband!
"My husband's a good model for it, but he would never do it. Maybe I could convince him," she joked. Johnson and Simpson have been married for almost eight years and are proud parents to three beautiful kids, Maxwell Drew, 9, Ace Knute, 8, and Birdie Mae, 3.
The lovebirds are no strangers to showing each other love publicly and have an enviable relationship. Hence, it is no surprise that Simpson thought of her man as a suitable model for the men's brand.
While Johnson might not be a fashion guru like his famous wife, there's no doubt the former American football tight end has the body to model some jeans!
The 'Blonde Ambition' Actress Regained Full Ownership Of Brand
Of course, adding a men's clothing line would be a worthy expansion for Simpson, who recently regained full ownership of the Jessica Simpson brand.
As The Blast previously reported, last October, Simpson broke the news that she took back her company fully after Sequential Brands Group Inc., the parent company of the Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The 41-year-old first launched her fashion brand in 2005, collaborating with her mom Tina Simpson. The pair became minority shareholders (only 37.5%) in 2015 when Sequential Brands Group Inc. purchased a majority share from Camuto Group, but they worked hard to change the tides to their favor.
Celebrating the major feat, Simpson wrote in a statement, "It means the absolute world to me to be able to take over complete ownership of my brand."
She continued, "After 16 years in business, I feel ready to meet this next exciting phase with open arms. I know the sky is the limit when my mom, our incredible team, and I lock into our customers completely."
The Texas native then explained how her new ownership would provide the brand partners with "strength and belief in the future."
Proud mom Tina added, "and for Jessica to regain control of her namesake brand, it allows her and I, alongside our amazing team, licensing and retail partners, to build the legacy brand to carry on to her children and family."
An Emotional Weight Loss Journey For The Fashion Mogul
Simpson's discussion about her brand's plan to include men's fashion comes days after opening up about her emotional weight loss journey in a candid interview.
It's no news that Simpson has often been on the receiving end of relentless body-shaming after gaining weight during pregnancy. However, the "Irresistible" singer worked hard to achieve her goals.

Nevertheless, she sees the journey to getting her body back not as a weight loss journey but as something more life-changing. While speaking to US Weekly, she said, "I don’t really look at it as, like, a weight loss journey. I think it’s a journey of empowerment and self-love and acceptance."
The talented actress argued that it was important for every woman to be celebrated regardless of weight. Earlier this month, Simpson showed off her banging body in a pink floral patterned bikini two-piece while on a spring break family vacation.
In the accompanying caption, the fashion designer expressed pride about her hard work, writing, " have gained and lost 100lbs 3x so I never thought this moment could or would happen, but I’m finally spring breakin’ wearin’ a BIKINI!!!!!! Hard work. Determination. Self Love. I enjoyed a good proud cry today."
