Rebel Wilson is a brilliant actress widely regarded for her comedy skills that spice up every production she has been involved in, including the musical comedy series “Pitch Perfect.”
Wilson has always been confident with her looks as she was previously known for her plus-sized figure, which she often acted as such in several films.
A few years back, she lost a significant amount of weight, and there have been recent chatters about how she achieved her now striking figure. However, she addressed the rumors on her Instagram Story.
Rebel Wilson Claims She Has Never Endorsed Any Diet Or Magic Weight Loss Pills
“This was NEVER my diet, please stop writing this stuff,” Wilson wrote in her story in response to the Daily Mail’s allegedly false report of her diet plans. The movie star posted a shot of the article’s entry that read:
“How to eat yourself slim like Rebel Wilson: Aussie star reveals the daily diet she used to shed an extraordinary 35kg and transform herself into one of Hollywood’s leading ladies.”
The piece further attributed her significant weight loss to the Mayr Method diet plan, which the outlet believed she followed for several months.
Another story post showed Wilson addressing claims about her involvement in endorsement deals for diet pills, weight loss drugs, or cryptocurrency, all of which she had never endorsed.
She further stated that if anyone saw such online involving her, they should report it as a scam and not send it to her as a DM.
The 42-year-old continued, “If I’m endorsing something, you’ll see it only as official posts on my official and verified social media.”
Later she shared a concluding story post that read, “Thanks, everyone – it’s really annoying when people use my image unlawfully or in misleading ways. Do NOT want anyone to get scammed. Love you guys xoxo.”
Wilson’s weight loss was not totally accepted by her team, who were initially not supportive as they wanted her to remain the “funny fat girl” on TV.
As The Blast previously shared, the actress told BBC News all about her weight loss journey, including the discouraging reactions she received when she began her “year of health.”
She revealed that she got “a lot of pushback” from her team in Hollywood when she decided to transform and change her life.
“And they were like, ‘Why? Why would you wanna do that?’ Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person,” the “Isn’t It Romantic” star disclosed regarding her team’s view.
Despite being confident about her former look, she confessed that her “emotional eating” pattern was not healthy as she used to deaden her emotions with food.
She went on, “I think it was dealing with not being a natural performer and having to perform every day. And that pressure and internal stress to be able to perform like that.”
Her remarkable transformation gained much attention and praise from fans, which was “fascinating” to the performer who felt “invisible” before her weight loss.
Losing weight did not mean Wilson could easily give up on emotional eating. In another interview, she admitted that she was not perfect and still seldomly ate “sinful snacks” but had learned to manage better.
The “Hustle” Actress Flunks Hosting Duties, Makes Humorless Jokes
Despite Wilson’s experience with hosting shows successfully in the past, her duty as the host of the 2022 BAFTA Awards was not so attention-grabbing as the audience did not find her humorous.
The Blast shared that fans complained about the program on social media, saying she was not funny and sucked at entertaining.
Prior to carrying out her hosting duties, the Australian producer announced the news, saying she was honored to be the presenter at the awards show.
She further informed her followers that she would not be funny at the ceremony as she was “no longer fat” but promised that everyone would love it.
Wilson joked about several stars during the occasion, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and Prince Andrew.
She mentioned that DiCaprio indeed liked his women “young.” At the same time, she also referred to Prince Harry and his wife’s scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying the chat was a combination of drama, horror, and fantasy.
Her jibe at Prince Andrew was that she initially planned on doing a musical performance on roller-skates about the prince but decided to save her voice for the “Cats” sequel.
