Lyonne also revealed the somewhat funny reason she and Armisen broke up. The 43-year-old actress said, "I honestly think we broke up because I wanted to get a swimming pool."

"We love each other just about as much as two people can love each other and we're still talking all the time, but Freddy doesn't like a swimming pool," she continued, "It might seem like a mundane reason for a break-up, but during that pandemic, you've got to get your laps — I'm like Burt Lancaster in The Swimmer."

So, after they broke up, Lyonne bought herself a house with a pool in Los Angeles. "The Orange Is the New Black" actress jokingly said, "So that's the real scandal. I guess I finally am an actual bicoastal."

Lyonne and Armisen went public with their relationship in 2014 after they were spotted together at Lorne Michael's pre-Emmys bash at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. A source told Page Six, "Fred and Natasha were together all night at Lorne's party. People were surprised, but they appear to be a couple."

During the party, she and the 55-year-old actor and comedian were also reportedly "very flirty and talked very closely." At the Emmys a few days later, Lyonne admitted to sexting on the red carpet but did not reveal whether it was Armisen she was speaking to.

Before they famously got together in 2014, Lyonne dated several actors, including Adam Goldberg and Edward Furlong, and media consultant and journalist Andrew Zipern, whom she met in 2011 at an Occupy Wall Street rally.

On the other hand, Armisen was married twice, first to Sally Timms and then to Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss. During an interview with Vulture magazine, Moss later described their marriage as "extremely traumatic and awful and horrible."

During a 2013 interview with Howard Stern, Armisen said, "I think I was a terrible husband, I think I'm a terrible boyfriend. I want it all … fast. I want to be married, I want to live together … and then somewhere around a year, or two years, I get freaked out."
