Australian rapper Iggy Azalea disagreed with the false claims made by her former boyfriend, Playboi Carti, about his co-parenting and financial obligations. Carti is also the father of her child.

Azalea and Carti were romantically linked in 2018 and split in 2019 due to cheating allegations. However, in June 2020, the "Problem" rap star announced the birth of their son Onyx Kelly.

The mother-of-one has previously admitted to raising her son alone, and she reacted to Carti’s recent interview where he claimed his son was part of his responsibilities.

Iggy Azalea Finds Playboi Carti’s Magazine Interview Funny And "Not Reflective"

Based on The Shade Room’s post showing Azalea’s responses to the 25-year-old rap star’s statement about their son, fans seem to have taken sides with the model as they believed she was speaking her truth.

"Take care of me? Lmaooooo, let’s not get carried away now," the 31-year-old replied to Carti’s dialogue stating his perception of fatherhood.

As you may know, the "Magnolia" soloist was recently interviewed for his feature in XXL Spring 2022 Issue. During the conversation, he was asked, "How do you like being a dad? How has that been for you?"

In response to the question, he mentioned that being a father involved responsibilities that he had to keep on fulfilling as he had numerous people to support.

He added, "I pay a lot of bills. I take care of a lot of people. I take care of my mom. I take care of my family. I take care of my baby mom [and] I take care of my son."

The Shade Room shared another post, including a slide of six photos showing more responses from Azalea, who believed that Carti’s interview was misleading fans.

The first slide revealed that the “Black Widow” singer was not on good terms with her baby daddy talk less of him paying her bills which she paid herself. She continued:

"Secondly, saying nice things for an interview sounds great, but in real life, he talks to me like a sl*t so badly I had to stop all direct contact."

Speaking of nice things, Carti called her “the best mother in the world” and said his son was too perfect while mentioning that he loved the blonde-haired beauty in the piece.

Azalea believed the sweet words were “not reflective” of what her son’s father says in real life. She pretty much preferred to be left out of the feature instead of being mentioned.

Carti’s team has reportedly been calling Azalea since the interview as they knew she would react and hoped for her silence.

Nevertheless, the "Pussy" songstress felt everyone would win after the drama and made her final statement, saying, "let me log off. I'm a peaceful person, I promise."

The concluding snap of the post showed a fan’s remark about Carti’s fans bullying the “Ignorant Art” creator and her son. The supporter noted that if the trap star sincerely cared, he would stop his fans’ harassment.

The "The New Classic" Musician Receives Hateful Comments Over Son’s Clothing

According to The Blast's previous report, Azalea was criticized for dressing her son in a fun-looking green-dinosaur costume.

She defended her choice of clothing by stating that her child was not a sub-brand for his father’s fans to obsess over or make jest of because they did not like her.

The songwriter has been used to hateful online comments, but she did not fail to put the critics in their place as they made fun of her baby.

She remarked that she and Carti would “smack” the haters in person for thinking it was “cute to be rude about a baby and what funny stuff” he wore.

As a result of the backlash, the vocalist stated, “I’ve decided I won't be posting about Onyx or sharing images online anymore. Y’all not about to be out here playing with my baby on my watch, nope!”

At the time of her statement, several followers wondered why she did not dress her son so well for photos, and she responded, “Imagine being so miserable that you bully a one-year-old child for picking his own outfit.”

The social media onslaught was the least of Azalea’s problems as she had other projects she was focused on, including the launch of her fragrance line.

She also released a couple of singles and opened up about her album, which she revealed may be her last for a while.
