Gina Carano: 'Don't Cancel Me Family I Love You'
By Kristin Myers on April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM EDT
It seems Gina Carano is able to laugh about her run-in with “cancel culture.”
After appearing as Cara Dune in the Emmy-nominated Disney+ hit “The Mandalorian,” Carano found herself holding a pink slip after she made controversial comments on her social media accounts. The “Star Wars” actress was cut from season 3 of the show after a Lucasfilm representative posted a statement condemning Carano’s inflammatory tweets comparing conservatives to how Jews were treated during the Holocaust.
A vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, many fans got #FireGinaCarano trending several times after she mocked mask-wearing and spread claims of voter fraud during the 2020 election. The tweets eventually cumulated in her being dropped as a client from UTA and Disney canceled plans for “Rangers of the New Republic,” in which Carano’s character was set to star.
Carano has since moved on with Ben Shapiro’s conservative company “The Daily Wire,” where she starred in “Terror On The Prairie” which is scheduled to be released on their streaming service this summer. Now that she’s starting to find work again after her brush with cancel culture, Carano was able to joke about it online.
Gina Carano Vows Never To Drink Again After A Rough Night Before A Baby Shower

Earlier this week, the former MMA fighter posted a selfie showing off her long blonde hair. “I’m never drinking again,” she wrote in the caption. “Early bday celebration last night, headed to a baby shower about to look like that crazy auntie dressed in all black. Shameful.”
“Don’t cancel me family I love you. 😂” she joked before adding, “(no it’s not a black eye, it’s a birthmark) I can’t even put on makeup right now. 😂💁🏽♀️ I need a beer. #hangoverremedies 🔽😰”
Lee Jeffries commented, “’I’m never drinking again’… ‘I need a beer’ 🤣 Whatever you decide… we will never cancel you ♥️🔥”
David Harris Jr. seemed to encourage it, saying, “Sobriety is the new high! I love being sober. My bride hit 18 months today!”
Josh Thomson wrote, “Best way to get over it is to get another drink at the baby shower. You got this ! 🙌🏽 😂”
Another fan advised her to “Hydrate. I’ll usually drink water and Gatorade. Sometimes coffee or something with caffeine if I have to work.”
Another added, “First: you’re beautiful and I love that you’re showing your birth mark in all it’s goddess glory. Second: hangover suck! I haven’t had one in 5 years since giving up alcohol but if I did i would hydrate with a homemade electrolyte drink with trace minerals and magnesium, eat something high in protein, fat and carbs, put on some lavender and peppermint oil and take a cold shower.”
Hangovers aside, it seems that Carano wasn’t done joking about cancel culture just yet.
Gina Carano Shares Quote About Cancel Culture To Her Instagram Stories
On Wednesday, Carano shared another quote about cancel culture to her Instagram Stories. She shared it from @shadowbox_nz, who wrote, “Live your life as if you’ve already been cancelled.”
It seems like apt advice for Carano, who posted another controversial video the same day. In the twenty-second long clip, a woman says, “They say when a clown movies in a palace, it doesn’t become a king, the palace becomes a circus. Be careful who you invite into your home and who you give easy access to. No matter how in control you are, it only ever takes one clown to destroy everything you’ve built.”
Carano did not leave any caption in the video, but fans were still able to talk the hint as to who she was talking about.

Many fans felt that her post was political in nature. “White House or Disney? Pick ‘em,” one user commented.
“💯truth and the clowns sure are running the show in DC right now aren’t they,” another wrote.
“Pretty fitting for the clown who is playing the role as president right now. He's turned our country into a circus,” another commented.
“I think she is talking about Biden,” another wrote.
Another said, “I love how no context is needed here.”
Now that she’s officially parted ways with Disney and Lucasfilm, it appears that Carano isn’t worried about being canceled anymore.
