Sharna Burgess Celebrates Reaching 3rd Trimester, Calls Son 'Next Bruce Lee'

Sharna Burgess is officially in the third trimester of her pregnancy, and she cannot wait to be a mother as she gradually approaches the day of labor.

She and partner Brian Austin Green announced the news of her pregnancy in February and were pretty excited to welcome the child this summer.

In her latest Instagram post, she celebrated the milestone by detailing what the pregnancy felt like, including the new challenges she faced as the baby grew within her.

Wearing a gym outfit including leggings, a bra-top, and a black baseball cap, Burgess took a mirror selfie showing off her baby bump and several workout equipment in the background.

"BUMPDATE 28 WEEKS,” she began in the lengthy caption, "Officially 3rd trimester. I am rapidly leaving the cute fun stage and headed toward the "cut this thing out of me" stage. Convinced now that I've created the next Bruce Lee… that is the ONLY explanation for what’s happening inside this belly."

The TV judge further wrote about her pregnancy constipation experience, which was shocking to her as she actually thought she would go to the hospital at one moment.

She admittedly could still tie her gym shoes, but she believed it would soon get to a point with her bump’s growth where her boyfriend would have to lace up her footwear.

Burgess is rapidly getting to the “I give up” stage, and she had no problem divulging so. She also loves ramen lately, which was pretty random.

Her unborn son had reportedly gotten to the dreaming stage, and she wondered if he dreamt about a past life.

"The kids are obsessed with feeling him kick and move," the soon-to-be mother further shared while revealing the weight of her baby, who weighs almost 3lbs.

Burgess weighs 152lbs and implied that she would schedule a caesarian section if her child weighs over 9lbs to avoid ripping her vagina.

The penultimate paragraph of her message highlighted her appreciation for those who supported her pregnancy while calling out critics. She stated:

"What I’ve found most interesting recently is the fact that so many women on here want to shame and harass and hardcore judge a pregnant woman. It’s sad to see and hard to understand."

Burgess regarded pregnancy as beautiful and a “learning curve” because every experience was different, and she loved to share the remarkable journey.

The “DWTS” winner went on to call women "amazing" and "miracles" for what they could do, create, and endure. She wished people praised women’s experiences more often instead of backlashing.

"Anyway… as always, love you all. That’s my ramble and week 28. 12 to go… I am so ready and also… so not [laughing emoji]," the ABC icon concluded the caption.

Finding out about her pregnancy was a pretty emotional period for Burgess, as The Blast confirmed that she took a pregnancy test on October 29, 2021. The test revealed that she was "with child."

She and Green were thrilled when they got the baby’s first sonogram together and shared the good news with family members, particularly the 36-year-old’s parents.

Unfortunately, Burgess’ father will not be around to see the birth of his grandchild as he died a month after hearing the news of her conception.

The onscreen celebrity has great expectations for motherhood as that would be her firstborn, while Green would be adding a fifth kid to his broods.

Burgess’ pregnancy was not planned, as The Blast revealed not too long ago that she was on birth control during her conception and intended to be in the family way later this year.

During a Q&A session she had with fans via her Insta story, she mentioned how shocking the pregnancy news was. Nevertheless, she and her partner were glad to become parents as they anticipated the baby’s birth.

Being pregnant made Burgess pause her dancing on “DWTS,” however, she promised her fans that she would not be quitting her dance career anytime soon.

A fan later asked if she could breastfeed with implants, to which the icon replied by saying she had no idea as she had no breast implants.

On the same note, breastfeeding may be a challenge for Burgess as she has a nipple scar caused by a metal ripping out of a piercing on the nipple area.

Fans were pretty curious about the ballroom dancer’s body changes, and they got clarity as they engaged in the performer’s session.
