Rihanna Speaks On Motherhood And Revolutionizing Maternity Styles For Women!

While Rihanna and ASAP Rocky's relationship has been widely publicized since fans got wind of it, many people were surprised that the Barbadian singer and her lover would immediately consummate their romance with a child.
Now that the child is on the way, Rihanna has had to adjust to her new circumstances, such as wearing more suitable clothes to accommodate the baby bump, changing her nutrition, and other habits common among expectant mothers.
Pregnancy, however, will not damper Rihanna's style or fashion sense, as she recently claimed she is totally OK dishing out unique fashion choices on her road to parenthood.

In her Vogue cover story, the 34-year-old singer shared details about her pregnancy journey, saying that while she changed her wardrobe, she did not switch up to include conventional maternity wears favored by most pregnant women.
"When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, 'There's no way I'm going to go shopping in no maternity aisle,'" she explained. "I'm sorry — it's too much fun to get dressed up. I'm not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing."
More notably, the singer addressed why recent photos of her largely displayed her expanding baby belly and expressed optimism that she will be able to reinvent what's considered 'appropriate regarding the kind of clothing women should wear during pregnancy.
Rihanna continued: "My body is doing incredible things right now, and I'm not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?"

Looking at Rihanna's stunning maternity photos that have been trending since her pregnancy, one would guess that the Grammy winner had intended to become pregnant soon after getting serious with Rocky. However, the singer stated that while she and her boyfriend were not "planning" the pregnancy, they took no steps to stop it from happening.
"I don't know when I ovulate or any of that type of s---. We just had fun," she told Vogue. "And then it was just there on the test. I didn't waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor's office the next morning and our journey began."
The singer went on to say that she had grown up thinking she would marry before having a kid, but she doesn't regret how things turned out because it won't prevent her from being a mother.

Although Rihanna stated that she is ready to be a mother despite not having planned for it, the singer revealed that she is afraid of developing Postpartum depression. The health problem is a type of mood disorder related to delivery that can be hazardous or life-threatening and can linger for several months.
"Will I feel out of control emotionally? Those are the stories I hear from other women that scare me," the singer said, opening up about her fears.
Fortunately, the singer has her partner's full support during the pregnancy journey, and if such a problem occurs, determining the next step will be a breeze for the duo.
Rihanna Says That Her New Album Will Be Different
Rihanna has previously stated that she was working on her ninth studio album before her pregnancy. While considerable work has already been completed on the music project, the singer has suggested that her much-anticipated upcoming album would be "totally different from how she planned to put it out."
Furthermore, considering her current pregnant state and juggling her beauty line, the "Rude Boy" vocalist noted that redesigning the endeavor has "taken a lot of pressure off" and "fits her far better."
