Hailey Bieber Explains Decision To Take A Break From Runway Modeling

Passion for the craft is not enough when people are constantly put in a position where they are made to feel small about their art.

This was the case for Hailey Bieber, who recently got candid about why she has not been seen on the modeling scene.

The wife of the "Under The Mistletoe" singer spoke on why she will instead focus on her other passion projects and if she will ever return to the catwalk.

Hailey got candid about why she is no longer interested in being in the modeling scene during a candid interview with Allure magazine.

The 25-year-old gained prominence as a model after she signed with Ford Models in 2014 to begin her professional career in the field. 

Over the following years, the blonde beauty became acclaimed worldwide, walking for renowned brands including Dolce & Gabanna, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, and Elie Saab.

Hailey has covered high-profile magazines, including Elle and Harper's Bazaar, and ad campaigns for famous brands like Levi Jeans, Ralph Lauren, and Guess.

Yet fans are no longer spotting the star in the modeling field. It turns out that no amount of fame and wealth is worth sacrificing her sense of self-worth.

The "Justice" singer's wife told the magazine that she began losing interest in the cut-throat field after having a bad experience with a high-profile casting direction. She recounted:

"He said something to my agent that just shook my confidence when it came to the runway. I don’t want to feel bad about myself in this space because I feel really good about the other work that I do. So why would I even put myself in a position to feel small?"

Despite walking away from a lot of coin and acclaim as a model, Hailey confidently thrives in other areas that do not compromise feeling positive about herself, according to CheatSheet.

Last year, the daughter of Stephen and Kennya Baldwin became a source of inspiration to others when she launched her YouTube channel.

Hailey interviews professionals and other celebrities on healthy topics on the page, especially regarding mental health and religion.

Stepping away from the pressures of modeling also helped the star discover another passion, skincare, and find the courage to pursue a career in it. 

Despite heavy competition currently present in the field, including stars such as Lori Harvey and Idris and Sabrina Elba, Hailey is not backing down from launching her skincare line. She explained:

"I definitely have had my fears, for sure, because the market is so busy and so saturated. And I’ve had to, obviously, have the confidence in myself and in our brand to really feel it’s going to be something refreshing and different."

Hailey's exit from the modeling scene leaves her some time to get practice in motherhood, as seen in an adorable social media update. 

Last February, The Blast disclosed that the star spent time with her buddy, Derek Blasberg, also YouTube’s Head of Fashion & Beauty.

Blasberg and his partner welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, on May 18, 2021, and Hailey got to spend quality bonding time with them that month.

The YouTube member uploaded an Instagram photo of the "Justin Bieber: Our World" star carrying his crying babies.

Hailey showed that she would most likely be a patient mother when the time comes, as she was all smiles despite the wails of the infants. 

Blasberg joked about the moment, writing,” The kids just really want Justin Bieber tickets! (We ❤️ you @haileybieber).” Hailey replied, “😍😍😍😍😍."

Last December, a source close to "The Biebers on Watch" stars revealed that the couple was also planning on expanding their family in the future.

The insider noted that the spouses wished to welcome an addition to their family, but the time had yet to arrive. The person said:

"They want to start a family when the time is right, and that [the timing] has been an ongoing discussion. Justin has always put family first and would obviously continue to do so when he becomes a father one day, but at the same time, Hailey knows how important his career is to him."
