American country singer Gabby Barrett is widely regarded as “country music’s next female superstar” and she will be performing at The 2022 CMT Music Awards.

She was previously nominated at the awards ceremony for her debut single “I Hope” in 2020 and since then, she has received several other accolades for the same song.

This year’s event is its 56th edition, set to hold on April 11 in Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate country music and Barrett had a few words to say regarding her performance.

As ET confirmed, a few days ahead of the event, the 22-year-old shared the news of her plan to return to Nashville to perform on CMT’s stage, while expressing gratitude to her supporters. She gushed:

"The CMT Music Awards are just such a fun show to be a part of, and I'm so honored to be performing! This show is all about the fans and I'm so grateful to all of you who have supported me and my music along the way."

The music star was pretty excited to perform as that would be her first TV performance of the song, but she did not reveal its title. Nonetheless, she mentioned her delight in sharing the music with her fans.

Other stars set to take the stage at this year’s CMT Music Awards show are Jimmie Allen, Monica, and Little Big Town while Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams will also have a joint performance.

Walker Hayes is also set to perform and Thomas Rhett and Riley Green will be featured on stage as well.

What’s more, Mickey Guyton and Black Pumas will collaborate for a debut performance as two-time nominee Old Dominion also prepares to take the stage.

Not to mention Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Marren Morris, Carley Pearce, and Keith Urban will be featured in some interesting performances.

Morris and her sweetheart, Ryan Hurd will take the stage together while Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson will perform their passionate duet, “Never Say Never.”

Of course, Carrie Underwood who is the most awarded CMT artist of all time will release an exclusive original performance from the home of her Las Vegas residency, the Resorts World Theatre.

Several of these celebrities will compete against each other in some categories of which the winners will be determined based solely on fans' votes.

For the Video of the Year category, Johnson, Swindell and Wilson, Combs, and Brown are nominees while Lambert, Morris, Barrett, and Pearce are up for the Female Video of the Year award.

The highest overall nominations go to Brown with four nods while Ballerini, Guyton, Johnson, and Breland follow closely with three nominations.

Other nominees include Tenille Arts, Brittney Spencer, Caitlyn Smith, Elvis Shane, H.E.R, Paul Klein of LANY, Priscilla Block, and Mackenzie Porter.

Not only would the ceremony host country music stars, but numerous other entertainment icons will be present.

Some of these stars include Dennis Quaid, Dylan Scott, Taylor Lautner, Bobby Berk, Martina McBride, Gayle King, Rob Corddry, Billy F. Gibbons, Tan France, LeAnn Rimes, and Antoni Porowski.

The celebratory program will be hosted by Marvel star Anthony Mackie and second-time host Ballerini. It is set to be broadcasted live at 8p.m ET/5p.m PT on CBS and Paramount+.

Barrett is a proud mother to her daughter, Baylah May as she previously announced the news of her child's birth on social media. The Blast previously revealed that Layla was welcomed into the world on January 18, 2021.

The talented vocalist shares her baby girl with her husband and fellow “American Idol” contestant Cade Foehner whom she wedded on October 5, 2019.

The couple fell in love while they were contestants on season sixteen of the show in 2018. However, Barrett made it to the finals, gaining third place while Foehner was eliminated in the top five elimination rounds.

Nevertheless, their love for each other never perished and while they were on a trip to Los Angeles, Foehner asked for his lover’s hand in marriage. They got engaged in March 2019.

About ten months after their marriage, they announced Barrett’s pregnancy and were pretty thrilled to welcome their first child.

Although the pregnancy was not planned, the iHeartRadio Music Awards nominee expressed in an interview that she was grateful to God to become a mother while gushing about how exciting it felt.
