Actress Daisy Ridley is celebrating her 30th birthday on Sunday!
Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley was born on April 10, 1992, in Westminster, London, in the U.K. Although she has been in several films, like “Chaos Walking” and “The Marsh King’s Daughter,” Ridley will probably best be known for her role as the Force-sensitive Rey in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy.
On Saturday, the “Murder on the Orient Express” actress posted a photo of an enormous cake on Instagram to celebrate her big day!
Daisy Ridley Celebrates Her Birthday A Day Early!
On Saturday, Ridley celebrate her birthday with the cast and crew of her upcoming film with – as one fan put it – a “huge a—cake.”
“Early work birthday!🎂,” Ridley wrote in the caption alongside a photos of a massive cake that the whole cast and crew are sure to enjoy!
“HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY QUEEN,” one fan wrote.
“Happy 30th Birthday Daisy!!! I watched you growing up into the beautiful and talented woman that you are!!! You inspire me so much! I’m sending you birthday love from France 🇫🇷💜✨🎂🎉🎈🥳🎊🎁😘 PS: what a giant cake haha!!” another commented.
“Happy Early Birthday Daisy!!! 🥳🎁 and Is that cheesecake?” another asked.
It’s hard to tell what kind of cake that is but it’s covered with a sweet fruit topping. It might be a cheesecake… but it definitely looks like there is chocolate chips or something delectable in the filling!
“That looks so yummy,” another fan wrote. “Save a slice for me.”
“Happy Birthday, the cake looks ace 😀👍🥳🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏” another wrote.
“Happy birthday for tomorrow! 🎂 🥳 I still think your toilet cake looks far superior 🚽 🍰😄😂” another joked.
Fans may not remember, but Ridley appeared in a 2021 episode of “The Great British Bake Off,” also titled, “The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.”
Daisy Ridley Made A Giant Toilet Bowl Cake!
The “Chaos Walking” actress found herself in the baking tent competing against “Celebs Go Dancing” narrator Rob Beckett, “Strictly Come Dancing” star Alexandra Burke, and “The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice” host Tom Allen.
Their task was to recreate their biggest “bugbear,” also known as “pet peeve” across the pond, and contestants quickly set to work creating a road sign, a car, and a bed. Ridley decided to make a cake immortalizing one of her great pet peeves: someone leaving the toilet seat up in the bathroom.
Unfortunately, her toilet seat cake failed to impress the judges. Celebrity judge Paul Hollywood was turned off by the “chunks” in her toilet. When asked how she went about creating the sponge cake Ridley explained said that she “put it in a bowl and I whisked it.” When asked for how long, a hesitant Ridley replied, “Some…few…moments…”
Unfortunately, even though Ridley didn’t score a win, it was still a win for cake sketch artist Tom Hovey who tweeted, “If you told 10 year old me, ‘In the future you will draw a Jedi’s toilet as a cake and it will be shown on primetime TV’… well I might not have believed you.”
In a post-baking interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Ridley seemed to make the best of her cake, saying, “I know that they’re bakers and chefs for a living, but I was like, ‘Maybe I’m somewhere else, maybe I’m on another planet with my baking.’”
At least she still has yet lightsaber skills to fall back on! Fans can check out Jimmy Kimmel's full interview with Daisy Ridley below!
