Rosie O’Donnell’s TikTok spat with Priyanka Chopra is back in the headlines.

If you forgot that O’Donnell made a mockery of herself and Chopra, let The Blast recap for you.

Back in February, O’Donnell took to TikTok to explain a very awkward encounter she had at Nobu Malibu with Nick Jonas and his wife.

Rosie, her son and Fran Drescher had grabbed some grub at Nobu in Malibu, CA.

Given Nobu is a celebrity HOT SPOT, it’s no surprise the actress ran into some other very famous faces.

In one video posted to the platform, Rosie explains that she saw Nick and Priyanka at Nobu and decided to introduce herself and throw out some compliments.

"So, I said, 'Hi, Nick Jonas, you were great in Kingdom,'" Rosie recalled.

She then turned her attention to Priyanka.

"'Hi, I know your dad.' She goes, 'You do? Who's my dad?' And I go, 'Deepak.' She goes, 'No, and Chopra is a common name,’" Rosie said.

Deepak Chopra is an Indian-born American author and alternative medicine advocate. A prominent figure in the New Age movement, his books and videos have made him one of the best-known and wealthiest figures in alternative medicine.

Clearly, this little mistake made Rosie red with embarrassment.

"I felt so embarrassed. Didn't you think that Nick Jonas was married to Deepak Chopra's daughter? Am I the only one who thought that," she asked her son.

Rosie follows up with an apology to Jonas and “to the Chopra wife, I apologize too.”

This (backhanded) apology didn’t sit well with some people, including Chopra.

The actress took to social media to issue an indirect, but very direct, message to O’Donnell.

“We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not be referred to as ‘someone’ or ‘wife’ especially in a sincere apology,” she wrote on Instagram.

Following the social media backlash, O’Donnell issued ANOTHER TikTok in an attempt to defend herself.

“Priyanka is her name. Priyanka. I hope I’m pronouncing that right. I just want to apologize to her and to everyone who thought that it was really inappropriate of me,” she explained. “Sorry, sometimes I f**k up. I did at Nobu.”

Well, someone who was with O’Donnell that day at Nobu is speaking up about the entire debacle.

Fran Drescher, famous for her role on the 90’s sitcom, “The Nanny,” spoke to Page Six in an exclusive interview.

Fran Drescher Defends Rosie's Name Flub

On Wednesday, April 6, the actress was attending Clive Davis’ 90th birthday party and was asked about the Nobu run-in and her friend’s weak apology.

“Rosie is a very dear friend of mine, and she, ah, you know, sometimes regrets something she might have done because she would never want to hurt anybody,” Drescher said.

She continued defending the former ‘View’ co-hosts character telling the outlet, “She happens to be a very good woman, and she is fearless for fighting for the underdog. She has tremendous character in that regard. She goes to the mat when others wouldn’t. So yeah, you know, not knowing somebody’s name or something should be her greatest offense.”

Like O’Donnell said, Google before you meet a celebrity.
