There are a few people Clarkson considered 'a-must-watch' in the movie industry, and Hudgens was one of them as the songstress called her captivating.

"I remember the auditions definitely, cause there were a lot of them. There were, I mean, literally like three, but like I remember them distinctively."

The movie star mentioned that she remembered meeting some of her co-stars, including Zach Efron, who played the leading role of Troy Bolton in the musical.

Despite the number of years since the release of "High School Musical," fans still love the production, including Clarkson's daughter.

Fortunately, the show's guest still looks the same after the years, thanks to "good genes," but she further stated that musicals tend to live on for generations. She called that the "magic of musicals."

The conversation went on to detail Hudgens' music career and her relationship with a baseball player. She took a step back from music early in her career, saying she had to figure out what she wanted to do.

However, if she goes down that path again, she wants to be her authentic self, using her voice.

Regarding her relationship, Hudgens' man plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Clarkson wanted to know if she knew anything about the game. The icon admitted to not having any idea initially, but she now knows how the game works.

Moving on to the performer's obsession with ghosts which she said was not a new passion as she had previous experiences over the years.

When she was eight, Hudgens remembered a spooky moment while preparing for school, during which she saw a toy figure moving alongside her as she was walking.

She admitted that she shut the ability down for a while because it was scary; however, the artist embraces it now as she called it a gift.

The 33-year-old recently did her first paranormal investigation in a graveyard involving interesting equipment, among which the spirit box is her favorite. The device scans radio frequencies and allows spirits to speak through it.
