It has been a hellish couple of days for Will Smith and his family since he attended the Oscars. Although he bagged an award at the prestigious show, he got plagued with controversy when he marched on stage to smack Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's hairstyle.
Things might be getting worse for the family following August Alsina's latest song release. The singer shared the news on Instagram, where he announced that his new single "Shake The World" was available for streaming.
However, why would such news affect the Smith family? Read on to find out more about the song and his announcement.

On April 4, 2022, the rapper released a two-minute song whose lyrics seemingly referenced his past romance with Will Smith's wife.
"I heard it's some s--t that's bound to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator // Well, of course, some s--t was bound to go down when you tangled up with the world's favorite (Ah-ooh) // (Movin' on)," the lyrics read.
It also addressed the backlash he faced following the experience. "I heard I was canceled," he sings. "Well, let's speak on that/Red dot on my back, I became a target/And I'm flawed but flawless, that's what makes me August."
However, before dropping his latest song, Alsina had taken to social media to air his thoughts about the Oscar controversy.
"Choose peace," he posted at the time. "I'm A Walking Billboard & Network Simply Desiring To Televise & Broadcast Love, the love, grace and healing embrace of God, Good Music that's healing (w/ a Lil bit of nasty)."
Jada And Alsina Had An 'Entanglement' In 2015

The pair first met at Jaden's and Willow's concert in 2015, and they both struck up a friendship. A year before that, Alsina was an abuser of painkillers after falling off the stage in one of his concerts.
"He asked me that day, 'Man, I could really use some help dealing with life,'" Pinkett revealed on a 2018 episode of her Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk. "And then [I came] to find out that he was abusing Percocet."
As Jada helped Alsina break off his addiction, their friendship deepened into something more. After their split, the pair kept it hush-hush until Alsina confessed to radio host Angela Yee that he "truly and deeply loved" Jada.
"I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her," he told Yee in the interview. "I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody."
This revelation from the rapper led the Smiths to disclose their side of the story on an episode of "The Red Table Talk."
Jada, at the time, repeatedly called her relationship with Alsina an "entanglement."
"We were over," she began per People. "From there, as time went on, I got into a different entanglement with August." The "King Richard" star agreed, adding, "We decided we would separate for some time, and you go figure out how to make yourself happy, and I'll figure out how to make myself happy."
This Is Not The First Time Alsina Has Referenced Jada In A Song

The rapper has previously referenced the "Girls Trip" star in his "Entanglement" song, which he released in 2020. In the song, he slams back at Jada on her disclosure on the "Red Table Talk" show, where she called their relationship an entanglement.
"Girl, I know that we don't call it a relationship, but you're still f—in' with me," he sang. "Entanglements, is when you tangled in them sheets. Entanglements, is when you're tangled up with me."
He also criticized Jada and mentioned that she was cold-hearted to use him and dump him.

Digital detectives were quick to decipher the not-so-cryptic lyrics in Alsina's "Shake The World" and instantly called him out on it.
"If, August Alsina, don't let that entanglement GO! Damn! That's probably why she ain't f--king with you now talking like a Barbie!" a cyber netizen replied.
"I said it once & I'll say it again. August Alsina moving like a hurt side chick," agreed another. "Anybody still feeling sorry for him is stupid. He knew what he was doing & he spoke out with ill intentions because Jada went back to Will. Point blank period," another responded.
