Meghan King recently reflected on the end of her marriage to Cuffe Owens, who she thought would be her third and final happily ever after.

King tied the knot with the nephew of the current US Head of State on October 11, 2021, after only a month of dating each other.

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum chalked up her split to being someone who is in love with the idea of love and attracts narcissists.

Meghan King Talks Red Flags In Marriage to Cuffe Owens

On Thursday, March 31, King appeared on a candid episode of SiriusXM's "Jeff Lewis Live" to get honest about her split with Owens.

The TV star admitted that their union was convenient as the political personality checked all her boxes for a partner.

King noted that their families were a good fit, and she and the Georgetown University alum appeared to have a similar upbringing as people in the spotlight.

The guest explained, "It was almost like an arranged marriage, I felt like, except we chose one another." That does not precisely spell romance.

Things got more serious when Lewis asked his guest if she noticed any red flags in her relationship, and she confirmed that she did.

King hinted at Owen's pretentious nature by calling him a good actor. She explained that she was ready for a partner as she had primary custody of her three kids and needed a helping hand.

Shortly after meeting on a dating site, the couple got married at a ceremony graced by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Also, at the ceremony, King's three sons shared with ex-husband Jim Edmonds, a 5-year-old daughter named Aspen, and 3-year-old twin boys Hart and Hayes.

Three months later, in December, the "Intimate Knowledge" podcast co-host and Owens went separate ways. They are currently in the process of securing their marriage annulment.

King's first marriage was to her college beau Brad McDill and lasted four years. They split in 2011. In October 2014, King walked down the aisle to Edmonds, but they parted ways five years later.

The socialite explained that she has an addiction to being in love and is fond of the security marriage provides. She explained:

“I love falling in love, but you know what I like more than falling in love? I like the stable part. Like the honeymoon phase is great and everything, but I really just want stability, and I want a partner."

King admitted that this feeling of stability is what she has been searching for repeatedly in her partners, but she keeps getting it wrong.

The "RHOC" Alum Back In Dating Scene Amid Third Marriage Annulment

True to her declaration of being a love addict, King jumped back into the dating pool less than eight weeks after splitting from Owens.

The Blast disclosed that on Tuesday, February 1, the TV personality opened up about life after the failed union while appearing as a guest host on Tamra Judge's "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast.

The former "RHOC" cast member confirmed she abandoned life as a single woman a little over a month after she and Owens called it quits. She said:

"I'm going on dates and stuff. I was married, but it was such a whirlwind, and from start to finish with him was only three months, which was just stupid of me to marry him, but I did."

King continued that what she had with Owens was too brief to be considered marriage and can better be described as a "three-month dating relationship."

The "Say Yes to the Dress" star explained that the romance with her ex began and ended abruptly. She then began navigating life after her breakup with the aid of a therapist.

King's counselor helped her realize that she should not feel burdened by the end of her marriage as it was not as serious as she and her ex thought.

Despite her therapist's assurance and the fact that she is seeing people again, the mother-of-three admitted to feeling unhappy about her failed relationship with the attorney. She expressed:

"I learned a lesson, and it’s time to move on. I think about it as a memory, and I’m sad it didn’t work out. I had hopes for it … but it’s fine. It literally feels like a nostalgic memory."
