It’s been less than 48-hours since the 94th Academy Awards made waves across the globe due to Will Smith’s outburst.
Rather than rehash the “slap heard round the world” and dissect his actions against Chris Rock, let's focus on an adorable fur-ball that stole the show.
During the “In Memoriam” segment of the Academy Awards, Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to the late-Betty White with a furry friend in tow.
On Sunday, Curtis took the stage with a rescue puppy named Mac & Cheese.

The actress explained how she joined forces with Paw Works to spread the word of pet adoption and rescue in honor of the ‘Golden Girls’ actress. White was a massive animal lover and animal right's activist throughout her lifetime.
She posted multiple photos with Mac & Cheese and her former co-star John Travolta
Curtis wrote, “Although I loved connecting with old friends like my PERFECT mate @johntravolta I also made new friends like Chad Atkins who is the founder and executive director of @pawworks where the sweet, beautiful little rescue pup I brought with me to make the OSCAR tribute to Betty White came from.”

She continued, “Chad and his team were incredible partners and I selected mac & cheese from a big group of photographs of little rescue pups that they have on their website. They are a dedicated rescue and I'm thrilled to partner with them or shall I say PAWTNER with them… Thank you Chad and all of your team and volunteers who save the lives of animals and find good and safe homes to welcome them into. Beyond excited that we are all connected in Betty and Linda McCartney's names and honor and their advocacy.#rescuedog #adoptdontshop.”
And guess where Mac & Cheese found a “good and safe home?”
In the arms of Travolta!
Mac & Cheese Gets Adopted By John Travolta!
The Blast exclusively learned the “Grease” actor was playing with the pup backstage in the green room for about 30 minutes.
Our source told us that within minutes of seeing Mac & Cheese, Travolta was all over her and allowed the dog to lick his face.
Our source compared him to a kid in a candy store while playing with the puppy.

Travolta contemplated adopting the dog on the spot, but given he was going to the Governor’s Ball and some after-parties following the award show, he had to give the dog back to the rescue... but not for long.
Following Sunday’s festivities, Travolta reached out to Paw Works and adopted Mac & Cheese.

Curtis was BEYOND delighted to see the rescue pooch was in a safe and loving home.
She reposted Travotla’s photo and wrote alongside the post, “A MAGICAL ending to the story from last night. At the Oscars I reconnected with my friend, John Travolta. @johntravolta We starred together in the movie PERFECT back in 1984. I had already left the Dolby theater last night after honoring Betty White and was on my way home when someone texted me a photo of John holding little mac & cheese in the green room before his presentation of the best actor Oscar. I thought it was so beautiful to see him with her and then today I found out that he and his son, Ben have adopted beautiful little mac & cheese and are taking her home today. It is an emotional end and a perfect tribute to Betty White and it shines a light and AMPLIFIES the message that heroes who, like Betty, and Chad from @pawworks and Nancy from @perfect_pet_rescue and the team at @maedayrescue and the hundreds of thousands of other rescues, who love and support ANIMALS, that rescuing animals and offering them shelter from the storm of life and a warm and loving home is one of life's most important actions we humans can take! #adoptdontshop.”
Many of Travolta and Curtis’ famous friends sounded off in their comments section.
Sharon Stone wrote on the “Pulp Fiction” star’s IG post, “Yay you buddy Just just you 👏🔥❤️.”
Michelle Pfieffer added, “Aw..lucky boy. Lucky dog. ❤️”
We love an underdog story.
