Famous Texas-born rapper Megan Thee Stallion has made quite the name for herself since she gained attention on social media for her rap freestyle videos.
She has been presented with a couple of awards throughout her music career, including six BET Awards, three Grammys, five BET Hip Hop Awards, and four American Music Awards.
The widely acclaimed rapper made a unique appearance at the 94th Academy Awards held on March 27, where she gave quite the performance.
Megan Thee Stallion Says She Is In Grind Mode Following Rap Performance At The Oscars
Megan was pretty psyched about her performance at the Oscars. She took to Twitter to express her joy for reportedly giving the first female rap performance ever at the event.
She wrote, “I literally was just in Puerto Rico less than 24 hrs ago performing, my dress had just came in last night from India, and that was the FIRST FEMALE RAP PERFORMANCE at the Oscars ever! I'm definitely in grind mode.” [sic]
The tweet got numerous reactions as thousands retweeted and quoted the message with complimentary words.
A fan wrote in the comments, “Megan Thee bag chaser stallion [two red heart emojis] … Hotties love you and you did so amazing tonight.”
Another enthusiastic supporter expressed love and pride for the music star as she had come a long way since her debut in 2016.
Megan performed a special remix of Disney’s hit song, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” at the Oscars, which surprised the attendees as they got to their feet to vibe to the music.
As E! revealed, the music icon wore a yellow dress for the performance, a different one from her red carpet outfit. While rapping, she called out several celebrities, including the three females that hosted the ceremony.
She rapped, "Stars everywhere, I need to see Oscars Zendaya over there. Oh no, we got three hosts. These women are the best and they killin all the jokes."

As the event went on, Megan joined Sheila E., Becky G, Luis Fonsi, and some “Encanto” cast members to perform “Bruno,” which was the song's first live performance.
Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the track, and despite being the most popular soundtrack song of the year, it did not get nominated for Best Original Song. However, “Encanto’s” ballad “Dos Oruguitas” received the honor.
Unfortunately, Miranda could not attend the ceremony to witness the beautiful performance as his wife was recently tested positive for COVID-19. Nonetheless, he cheered his “Encanto” family ahead of the occasion.
Back to Megan and her incredible “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” performance that got lots of fans talking, including celebrities like Kerry Washington.
The “Scandal” actress wrote on Twitter, "I guess we don’t HAVE to talk about Bruno, but we can talk about @Theestallion!?! #Oscars."
The Three-Time Grammy Winner Will Be Featured In An Upcoming Documentary
Not too long ago, Harper’s Bazaar detailed the “WAP” rapper’s striking look at the Academy Awards red carpet event. She wore an Indian-designed slate-blue strapless dress with a high slit.
Gaurav Gupta, the designer, credited for the beautiful piece, decorated the gown with sequin stripes and a well-defined flowing skirt to accentuate the star's beauty.

Megan completed her look with matching diamond and sapphire jewelry and blue sandals. She also kept her hair styled in a classy low bun.
As you may know, her appearance at the event was mainly due to her being selected to perform alongside “Encanto” cast members.
In addition to Becky G and Fonsi, the other stars set to perform with the rap star included Stephani Beatriz (who voiced Mirabel), Adassa (Dolores), Diane Guerrero (Isabela), Carolina Gaitan (Pepa), and Mauro Castillo (Felix).
The Blast recently reported that another movie that is set to feature the “Savage” rapper is 'a not yet titled' multi-part documentary that Nigerian-American filmmaker Nneka Onuorah will direct.
The docu-series will also be co-produced by Time Studios and Roc Nation, the music label to which the 27-year-old is signed.
Megan experienced a lot as she came up the steps of fame, right from her life in Houston, Texas. The production will explore the experiences and how they shaped her person and career.
The Wrap previously shared that the documentary will be based on video materials of the hip-hop star through the years, showing how she went from freestyling videos to becoming a worldwide entertainer.
Time Studios and Roc Nation released statements to express their pride in Megan and their delight in working together to share the songwriter’s inspirational and powerful story.
