Kristen Stewart has starred in several successful movies and has received awards and nominations for them. A handful of these was from her role in the fan-favorite "Twilight" trilogy. They include best fantasy actress, best female performance, and favorite movie actress awards.
Stewart was the highest-paid actress in the world in 2012 and is currently an Oscar nominee for her role as Princess Diana in the 2021 film "Spencer." This wasn't her first time portraying a popular figure, as she previously played the 63-year-old rock singer and songwriter Joan Jett in the 2010 musical drama, "The Runaways."
It is no wonder that 37-year-old singer Avril Lavigne expressed how much she admired her by saying that she would love to be played by Stewart in a movie. Lavigne had more things to say; keep reading to find out.
Avril Lavigne Has Eyes On Kristen Stewart
Though no plans currently exist towards it, the "Head Above Water" singer admitted per Access Hollywood that she would want Stewart to play her if there was a film about her life.
When asked on the red carpet for the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Lavigne simply said, "Kristen Stewart would be cool to play me in a film. Yeah, she's dope." Fans believe she would ace this role since she already successfully played a musician in the past.
In an interview with MTV in 2009, Joan Jett explained how Stewart was able to get into character to play her in "The Runaways." "She'd listen to my accent and watch my body language," she said. She also applauded Stewart's personality by saying, "She's an actress of weight, honesty, integrity, and depth, and she's very serious. She takes it as art."
Lavigne Addressed Some Rumors
Lavigne opened up to Alt Press about the several misconceptions fans had about her because of her punk-rock vibes. She explained that people thought she was rude and snobby, but she's actually a nice person who sometimes had to "be a bitch” to stand up for herself.
"Honestly, a lot of people, when they meet me, [they] think I'm going to be a bitch," Lavigne said, "I'm actually really nice," she continued, "They're always like, 'Oh, my God, you're totally not what I was expecting.' People think I'm, like, whatever. I was weird, tough, and strong."
She added, "You [had to] stand up for yourself. You might come across as a bitch, but I think being a bitch is a really good thing. I'm totally a fucking bitch, and that's a good thing. It means that you're not a doormat. You're not a pushover, and you speak your mind."
Her Strong Mind Has Helped Her A Lot
The strong character that Lavigne spoke of has gotten her very far as she has received several award nominations and up to eight Grammys in her career. The 37-year-old singer signed her first contract with Arista Records at only 16 years old.
She explained that she could succeed at such a young age because she was "stubborn and strong-willed and strong-minded," "and if I feel a certain way, I stick to it," Lavigne said.
She also explained that this had helped her with her music, "I'm constantly fighting. I've been fighting since day one to write my own songs. I had to fight my whole career to write the type of music I wanted to write."

Lavigne also told fans that she faced some challenges in her career, including the different views she shared from her labels. They wanted her to change some things about her music, but she had to refuse when it made her uncomfortable, though it was difficult.
"Sometimes labels would give me pushback and didn't understand my vision," she said. "I had to always fight and fight on each album to keep going in the musical direction I wanted to go, even if they're trying to sway me another way."
Lavigne has released seven studio albums in her music career. Her first one, "Let Go," was released in 2002 and had the title of the best-selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian singer. Her most recent album, "Love Sux," was released on February 25th this year, and fans are very proud of her growth.
