Singer Billie Eilish dedicated her 2022 Grammy performance to the late Taylor Hawkins. The 50-year-old Foo Fighters drummer passed away suddenly on March 25 at the Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota in Bogota, Columbia.

He reportedly suffered a cardiovascular collapse as the result of suspected drug use after over ten drugs was found in his system. His heart was also revealed to weigh over double that of an average man’s heart.

The Foo Fighters were supposed to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night but backed out after the loss of their drummer. They have also canceled all of their tour dates as the band tries to heal from the loss of Hawkins, who joined the band on their third album in 1999 after touring with Alanis Morrissette.

The “Bad Guy” singer was joined by her brother Finneas on stage as the two sang on top of a house that looked like her tour set. The two siblings performed alongside drummer Andrew Marshall. At the end of the song, she gestured to her tee-shirt in a not-so-subtle nod to Hawkins.

The “No Time To Die” singer was nominated for six awards: Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, Best Music Film, and Song of the Year for “Happier Than Ever.” However, after sweeping up categories in past years, she walked away empty-handed.

In 2020, when she was only 18-years-old, she made Grammy history when she became the youngest artist to win all of the top four Grammy categories.

Eilish is not the only artist to pay tribute to Hawkins since his death. Many artists, including Miley Cyrus and Elton John have also paid tribute.

Miley Cyrus Cries For Taylor Hawkins During Concert Performance

Miley Cyrus was emotional when she performed “Angels Like You” for the late Taylor Hawkins. In the video, she can be seen tearing up. The “Wrecking Ball” singer was recently involved in a frightening ordeal when her plane was struck by lightning and they had to make an emergency landing while she and her screw were en route to the Asunciónico Music Festival in Paraguay, where the Foo Fighters had performed only a day before.

“We had to make this emergency landing and the first person I called was Taylor, because he was already at the festival,” Cyrus recalled. She and Hawkins had also worked together on their Billy Idol collaboration “Night Crawling” which was featured on her 2021 record “Plastic Hearts.”

“That would’ve been a time that I would’ve gone to see my friend, and I didn’t, so it makes me really sad,” she added.

“I would’ve done anything to hang out with him one more time,” she added. “I know that I get on stage, and anytime that I get to play with my band – which if anything ever f---ing happened to any of them it would f–f---ing kill me, so I couldn’t imagine how the Foo Fighters feel today.”
