Hayden Panettiere Is Doing 'Okay' After Getting Mixed Up In Nasty Brawl

Hollywood Actress Hayden Panettiere and her fiery boyfriend were spotted getting into a fight at a celebrity hotspot in Los Angeles. This happened after boyfriend Brian Hickerson reportedly spat on one of the patrons.

According to the clip captured by TMZ, the actress could be heard screaming her boyfriend's name as she tried to pull him from the patrons as the other party yelled, "Back the f**k up!"

The altercation appeared to last for several minutes as it moved from the bar to the streets. The pair eventually had to be pulled out of the scene.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department mentioned to US Weekly that they received a call at 12:18 am regarding a fight. However, there were no eyewitnesses or evidence of any crime when they arrived. "Nobody was complaining of pain, and no one came forward saying they were a victim of an assault."

A representative for the actress mentioned to People that Panettiere was doing okay after the altercation. They also came out to give an insight into what happened via a statement.

"While in the restaurant of the Sunset Marquis, Brian Hickerson, who happened to be with Hayden, commented to an individual about leaving the waitress a poor tip."

The statement continued, "That same individual, along with the group he was with, began badgering and shoving Brian, at which point security pushed everyone outside. Brian was attacked by the group, as was Hayden, who in her best effort tried to diffuse the situation."

"Hayden was refused the opportunity to provide a statement to the police as she was escorted back inside," the statement concluded. "She is okay."

In July 2021, People reported that Brian had been sentenced to 45 days in prison after pleading guilty to two felony counts of domestic abuse on Panettiere. He served his time from May 7 through May 20, as evidenced by the records.

In addition to his jail time, he was given four years of formal probation, 500 dollars in restitution, 52 domestic class cases, and a five-year restraining order against Panettiere.

However, this restraining order doesn't debar the defendant and the victim from amicably interacting with each other, according to a statement from the spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney.

An insider told the outlet at the time that Panettiere was in therapy. "Hayden won't forget what he did but she wants to forgive and move on. Hayden is sober and doing very well."

A separate insider noted that the actress' family was highly supportive as "There is not one single person out there who isn't concerned about Hayden."

Following the arrest, the "Ice Princess" actress made a heartfelt statement via Us Weekly concerning the alleged abuse.

"I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve," she claimed in July 2020. "I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again. I am grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life."

Panettiere and Brian have been dating since August 2018 following her split with Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko. However, she and Wladimir share a 7-year-old daughter, Kaya.

The pair appeared to start on a good foot. "She seemed very happy and in great spirits, and they were having [a] fun night together," an insider mentioned to Us Weekly in August 2018 when they were seen together at a movie screening in Los Angeles. "They seemed cute together."

The following month, an onlooker told the publication that the couple "were very affectionate and sat next to each other the entire time while grabbing brunch with pals." They added, "When their two friends explored the space, they stayed behind and remained close to each other talking and kissing."

The actress, whose daughter is partly Ukrainian, recently set up a charity fund named Hoplon International. She launched it to assist the war-torn country of Ukraine.

"There are no words to describe what it's been like watching the war in Ukraine unfold," she said. "It's gut-wrenching knowing the people of Ukraine, people I call my friends and family, are desperately trying to defend their way of life in a country that they love," she told CNN earlier this month.

She explained, "I created Hoplon International to bring relief and aid directly to Ukrainians on the front lines. I can't continue to sit on the sidelines just watching as this disaster rages on."
