Bindi Irwin Celebrates Daughter Grace Warrior's First Birthday: ‘The Greatest Blessing’

Steve Irwin’s daughter, Bindi Irwin, is celebrating the first birthday of her daughter, Grace Warrior.

The 23-year-old Australian native married husband Chandler Powell in 2020 and happily welcomed a daughter into their family soon after. They celebrated their daughter’s first birthday with fun festivities at the Australia Zoo, which her mother, Terri Irwin, currently owns.

On Friday, the Irwin family celebrated Grace Warrior’s first birthday. Bindi shared a few Instagram snaps of her daughter as she wished her a happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior,” she wrote in the caption. “One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person. Grace, you have been an old soul from the very beginning. It is the greatest blessing to be your mama. I love you eternally, unconditionally and infinitely. ❤️”

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Bindi revealed that Grace has already learned how to call her parents “Mama” and “Dada.”

Powell said that their bundle of joy was extremely energetic, joking, “At almost one, Grace has reached that stage where she’s crawling like it’s an Olympic sport and almost walking.”

Bindi said that motherhood has made her feel like a totally different person. She also feels a responsibility to empower her first daughter, saying, “Becoming a mother changes your perspective on life, and being a girl mother brings its own set of obstacles. I feel a huge responsibility to raise our daughter to be an empowered woman.”

On International Women’s Day, Powell paid tribute to his growing family with a sweet snap of the two together.

“#InternationalWomensDay is even more special this year with our little woman here to celebrate,” he wrote in the caption. “It has been amazing to watch my wife become the incredible mama she is today and Grace grow into the determined person she is. And yes… you are appreciated too, Emily.”
