Stars Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have raised more than $30 million dollars to help Ukraine.

Their generous donation did not escape the notice of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who expressed that he was “grateful” for their support as Ukraine continues to fight back against the Russian invasion that began almost one month ago.

Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Raised Over $30 Millon Dollars To Support Her Home Country

In early Match, the Hollywood couple launched a GoFundMe campaign, which has reached almost $35 million dollars at the time of this writing. Kunis, who was born in Ukraine, revealed that the couple had surpassed their goal of $30 million last week.

On Sunday, the President of Ukraine took to Twitter to thank the couple for their work. He tweeted, “.@aplusk & Mila Kunis were among the first to respond to our grief. They have already raised $35 million & are sending it to @flexport & @Airbnb to help refugees.”

“Grateful for their support. Impressed by their determination,” he added alongside a photo of a video chat he had with the couple on his laptop. “They inspire the world. #StandWithUkraine.”

Many were quick to share their support in the comments.

“Mr. President, thank you for sharing this exceptional gesture made towards Ukraine,” one user wrote. “Standing with Ukraine all the time!”

Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis Offered To Match Donations From Fans

On March 3, both actors announced that they would match $3 million dollars in donations for Ukrainian refugees in an Instagram video they shared with the world.

They wrote, “While we are witnessing the bravery of Ukrainians, we are also bearing witness to the unimaginable burden of those who have chosen safety. Through GoFundMe, this fundraiser will provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts. The fund will benefit Flexport.org and Airbnb.org , two organizations who are actively on the ground providing immediate help to those who need it most.”

“Flexport.org is organizing shipments of relief supplies to refugee sites in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova,” they continued. “Airbnb.org is providing free, short-term housing to refugees fleeing Ukraine. Standing with Ukraine means supporting Ukrainians. #StandWithUkraine”

Many fans were quick to recognize they needed to contribute and started to donate.

On March 5, the couple went back on Instagram to announce that they were already halfway to their goal!

“UPDATE!! 15 million. We are halfway to our goal. Thank you for the support! #standwithukraine @airbnb @flexportTo donate link is in bio or below,” they wrote in the caption.

Fortunately, the donations kept flowing in, and the couple was able to surpass their goal of $30 million dollars.

Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Exceed Their Goal Of $30 Million Dollars!

On Thursday, March 17, the couple revealed that they had finally hit their goal of $30 million dollars.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for your support,” they wrote in the caption. “2 weeks ago we asked you to join us and more than 65,000 of you stepped up and donated what you could. Now, with your help we have reached our $30 million goal.”

“While this is far from a solution for the problem, our collective effort will provide a softer landing for so many people as they forge ahead into their future of uncertainty. Our work is not done,” they continued. “We will do everything we can to ensure that the outpouring of love that came as a part of this campaign finds maximum impact with those in need.”

“Funds have already and will continue to be delivered to Flexport.org and Airbnb.org so they can act now,” they concluded. “As funding continues to come in we will treat every dollar as if it were being donated from our pocket, with respect and honor for the work that went into earning it, the intent of love through which it was given, and the desire for it so be maximized for positive outcomes for others.”

As of this writing, the couple has brought in $34,974,600 dollars from 70.9K donations. They are hoping to raise even more money through their GoFundMe page to keep supporting Ukrainian refugees.
