Ewen Bremner, Gerran Howell Face Off In Dramatic First Look at 'Freedom's Path'

Taking audiences on a journey through the blood-soaked battlefields of the Civil War and the secrets of the Underground Railroad, "Freedom's Path" is already becoming one of the frontrunners for the upcoming film festival season.
Written and directed by Brett Smith, "Freedom's Path" features former "Trainspotting" star Ewen Bremner, along with an impressive group of young stars, including Gerran Howell and RJ Cyler.

The Civil War-era flick tells the story of a Union soldier who flees from battle and ends up being rescued by a free Black man and his group of friends.
The Union soldier is taken into the care of a secret group of freed slaves who run a portion of the Underground Railroad and end up battling a vile slave catcher, played by Bremner, who is trying to bring down the network of freeing slaves.
Official Teaser Released
A first look at "Freedom's Path" was released on March 17 and received very positive reviews from fans eagerly anticipating the release.
"Great trailer. Can't wait to check this one out," one user wrote on YouTube, while another exclaimed, "Wow!!!!!!! Incredible💜💜💜 CANNOT WAIT to see this movie!!!!!"
The Civil War drama will be featured in the upcoming Cinequest Film Festival and is expected to perform well throughout the circuit.
Along with Bremner, Howell and Cyler, "Freedom's Path" features other stars including Carol Sutton, Afemo Omilami, Harrison Gilbertson, Thomas Jefferson Byrd and Steven Swadling, who also serves as a producer on the film.
