Amanda Bynes Made The Statement In An Instagram Video Caption

The 35-year-old actress explained it further and added, “The videos and pictures I post are in a flattering light, or in the shade outside, without the sun blasting on my face.”

At the end of the caption, she added, “I once did a movie where the director told me that in certain lights, I looked like a monster.” Bynes has worked with several directors during her career, so it’ll be hard to figure out who it was.

Bynes is one celebrity that has been very open about her mental health battles over the years. In November 2018, during her interview with Paper Magazine, she said, “I just had no purpose in life. I’d been working my whole life and [now] I was doing nothing.”

Her struggles with alcohol and her bipolar disorder diagnosis, which she was very open about, led to her being put into conservatorship. Today, Bynes seems to be doing much better. She started dating Paul Michael in 2019, and they are now engaged, and she is slowly taking back control of her life.

Some of her latest projects include a rap song titled “Diamonds,” even though she is yet to announce a release date for the track. According to her bio on Instagram, the “Easy A” actress is also working on a new perfume fragrance.

Bynes also recently filed a legal notice to release herself from her nine-year-long conservatorship, managed by her mom Lynn Organ. The conservatorship was imposed on her in 2013, shortly after she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Organ has said she fully supports the conservatorship being terminated, and the court will address Byne’s plea in a hearing scheduled for March 22nd. A source close to Bynes spoke to E! News recently and shared how excited she is to be free from the conservatorship.

The source said, “Once the conservatorship is terminated, she’ll be able to get married, live wherever she likes and travel freely wherever she wants to go... Nobody is really sure right now what’s next for her, but whatever it is, Amanda’s mom knows that based on the reports they’ve gotten, Amanda is determined, successful and able to manage her day-to-day life and well-being.”
