Rebel Wilsonconstantly surprised her audience in the previous years when she appeared to announce award nominees. Her jokes landed and had the crowd roaring with laughter. However, when she returned to host the 2022 BAFTA awards, her audience didn't find her funny in the slightest.
Fans on Twitter noted how Wilson wasn't a good host and took to their social media to air their thoughts.
"@BAFTA 5 minutes in I've turned off!" a viewer complained. "Rebel Wilson, crass, embarrassingly unfunny. Surely there was someone better than a 2nd rate actress to front this award show."
"Rebel Wilson is the worst host for this omg," another fan tweeted.

"Whenever Rebel Wilson makes a joke," another fan added, along with a gif of a rolling tumbleweed.
"Can we all agree that Rebel Wilson is just not funny?" A fan asked.
"As an Aussie I'm not really interested in #BAFTA2022 but on behalf of Australia I would like to apologise for Rebel Wilson's hosting," someone lamented.
"#BAFTA2022 I wish Rebel Wilson would literally just walk on, introduce the next award and walk off. The audience are having to constantly be polite and clap and laugh at her poor jokes. She is so not funny," someone else wondered on the bird app.
Rebel Wilson Originally Joked That She Wasn't Going To Be Funny Because She Wasn't 'Fat' Anymore
The 43-year-old actress took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans. She posted a picture of herself and poked fun at her hosting duties. She also teased viewers on what to expect at the BAFTAs.
"I am very honored to be hosting the EE British Academy Film Awards in March, where Covid will no longer exist because it will clearly have been canceled by then. It's going to be so much fun!" the "Isn't It Romantic" star began her caption.
"I don't wanna put any pressure on this - I know I'm not going to be funny because I am no longer fat," she continued. "And besides, I'm not going to 'sweat-it' with nerves because I have a peculiar medical condition where I can't sweat...or cause offense to people because of my adorable Australian accent."
She concluded, "This show will be an anniversary celebration of some important British film franchises such as HARRY POTTER and not such as CATS. Everybody's going to love it, I'm sure! See you guys March 13th!"
Wilson Took A Jab At Leonardo DiCaprio, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle And Several Others
While she hosted the BAFTAs ceremony, she cracked a joke about Leonardo DiCaprio's relationship.
As she walked around the crowd, the comedian approached 20-year-old CODA star Emilia Jones and joked, "I'll give you the award for the person in the crowd Leonardo DiCaprio would find most attractive. He does like them young."
She roasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey. "From drama to horror, to fantasy... Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah had it all."
This wasn't the only joke aimed at the royal family that night; Wilson also took a jab at Prince Andrew.
"I was going to do a musical number as host; it was about Prince Andrew. It was on rollerskates, it was called Pizza Express but don't worry, I'm not going to do it, I'm not going to sing. I'm saving my voice for the sequel to Cats."

Denis Villeneuve's "Dune," which featured Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet, has 11 nominations, including best film, cinematography, and original score.
Set on a desert planet, the sci-fi movie took awards early in the ceremony for visual effects, sound, Hans Zimmer's score, and Greig Fraser's cinematography.
Fraser expressed his gratitude and how honored he was to receive the award in his statement.
"I am honoured to receive this award from such a distinguished body, which celebrates the crafts of our industry. Dune is greater than the sum of its parts, and I certainly wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my camera team, the sound department, the outstanding music composers, the hair and makeup artists, editors, costumers, art and production design departments. The list of people I am indebted to is too long to share, but you know who you are. I'd have no business accepting this award without thanking my wife Jodie. You have been the greatest supporter and the reason I am able to forge my path in this challenging industry. And, of course, Denis Villeneuve. I am grateful you took me on this journey with you, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next."
However, despite having the most awards, "Dune" lost the Best film award to "The Power Of The Dog."
Joanna Scanlan Bagged A Surprise Win
The "After Love" star bagged the best actress Bafta win despite the film not being a contending player at other award ceremonies this season.
Well, film and TV are changing, aren't they? So I guess I'll be changing with it," she said of her win.
"Some of those boundaries are collapsing, and the way we tell stories is changing because of the platforms that we're receiving those stories through. So I'm just going to go with that flow, ride that wave."
