Jamie Lynn Spears Says Husband Gave Her 'Stability' In Sweet Anniversary Tribute

Jamie Lynn Spears showed that love ages like fine wine as she celebrated her wedding anniversary with her husband of eight years, Jamie Watson.

The "Zoey 101" star, 30, celebrated the special occasion with her husband on March 14. Spears took time to post a sweet message to her guy on Instagram. The couple got married back in 2014 in a gorgeous ceremony in New Orleans and welcomed their daughter Ivey Joan Watson, 3, in 2018. Spears is also a mom to Maddie Briann Aldridge, 13, whom she shares with ex Casey Aldridge.

The former teen TV star expressed her love and appreciation for her man with a number of photos from their big day.

For her wedding, Spears wowed in a traditional white dress that looked stunning. The garment displayed her décolletage. It also fell to the floor and covered her footwear. Watson, 39, wore a black-and-white suit with a blush pink tie.

"I was an 18 year old single mom, when this guy came into my life, he made me laugh more then I ever had before, and his never changing consistency gave me stability for the first time in my life," Spears began.

"Maybe, it was just because he was 10 years older, and had already established a successful life for himself both personally and professionally, but nonetheless, I felt a sense of peace with him, and I think that’s what being in love is suppose to feel like, just feeling at peace," she continued.

Spears added, "Who knows though, I am definitely not an expert, but I do feel lucky to have found that with my husband, even on the days I hate him," and concluded her message by writing, "Happy 8 years of marriage to us, also we still need to go on our honeymoon? 3•14•2014."

The share earned plenty of likes from Spears' fans. While she limited the number of comments on the post, some fans were still able to send their well-wishes to the couple.

"The second to last pic of you is my favorite!! ?❤️?" one commented.

"Happy Anniversary," another fan wrote, adding a red heart emoji.

"Happy happy! ??❤️" a third user chimed in, while a different commenter dropped a series of white hearts.

Spears met Watson in 2010 after her split from Aldridge. The pair reportedly dated on and off for two years before publicly announcing their engagement in 2013.

During the TLC special, "Jamie Lynn Spears: When The Lights Go Out," Watson also claimed he didn't know his wife's celebrity status when they first met.

"I'm just a normal guy with a normal job," he said at the time. "I did not know about the family. I didn’t know she had a TV show. I didn’t know anything about her."

As for Spears, she revealed that it wasn’t love at first sight with her and Watson, but they grew to love each other.

"But it was love pretty quick. I think we grew on each other, which is probably why we are still together," she said. "He was always uncomfortable. … looking back though, I think it’s kind of sweet because he was acting that way because obviously, he liked me.”

Since tying the knot in 2014, the couple's relationship seemed to be getting stronger, despite issues regarding Spears and her sister Britney.
