‘Traumatized’ Justin Bieber Stays By Wife Hailey’s Bedside After Brain Blood Clot

Singer Justin Bieber is doing his best to be a supportive husband right now.

On Thursday, his wife, HaileyBieber, suffered a blood clot in her brain and was rushed to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms. Although she was released from the hospital, it seems that the “Lonely” singer is taking her health scare pretty hard.

A source close to the couple told PEOPLE that the “Baby” singer is “probably more traumatized than even she is.”

“When it happened, there was a lot of panic. Justin was crying, because you don't expect your young wife to have symptoms that resemble a stroke,” the source continued. “Justin texted everyone he knew and asked everyone to pray for her, and he never left her side.”

“He was saying that he can't lose her, that whatever it takes, he wanted the best medical treatment available,” the source added. “He would've done anything to help her. It was a moment for them both to be reminded about mortality, and focusing on what really matters.”

“He realizes, and is telling people around him, how much Hailey is his rock, and how she saved him from a dark time … and that he needs to appreciate her every day,” the source went on. “He's going to keep an eye on her and help her however he can. And he has everyone around him praying for her continued good health. It shook him up.”

On Saturday, Hailey Bieber took to her Instagram Stories to let her fans know that she was all right.

“On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital,” she wrote. “They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.”

“Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing well, and I’m so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!” she continued. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love.”

On March 1, the model, 25, wished the “Love Yourself” singer a happy 28th birthday with a series of cute snaps. The couple was married in a New York courthouse ceremony in 2018 before having a star-studded wedding in South Carolina the following year.

On his birthday, she took to Instagram to wish him a happy birthday. “Happy birthday my baby... there are a lot of amazing and beautiful things about this life, but the most beautiful part is that I get to live it with you.”

Hailey concluded her note, saying, “I love you.. here’s to 28 ?❤️”

“Happy birthday JB ❤️??” Hailey’s cousin, Ireland Baldwin, wrote.

Director and videographer Alfredo Flores commented “28!! ?”

A follower added, “Happy birthday to your love!!?? And you are Amazing Hailey.”

Another wrote, “Happy birthday JB, wishing you both all the best!!”

In March 2021, Hailey revealed how their up relationship got started during a cover story for Elle.

“We were friends first for a really long time before there was anything romantic,” she said. “But we always knew that we were aligned on what we wanted in our future. We had talked about wanting to be married young and having a family young and building a life. Even before we knew we wanted to be with each other.”
