Emma Watson is not one to stand for injustice, discrimination or anything of that nature.
Fans believe the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" actress took a moment to recognize that J.K. Rowling is wrong for her transphobic comments.
Watson took the stage at the BAFTAS to present the Outstanding British Film award.

Australian native, Rebel Wilson, introduced Emma to the stage by saying, “Here to present the next award is Emma Watson. She calls herself a feminist, but we all know she's a witch."
In the event you don’t know, Watson played “Hermione Granger” in the “Harry Potter” series.
While walking on stage, the actress responded, “I'm here for ALL the witches."

Some people felt her ‘witch’ statement could’ve been a dig at Rowling.
Many on Twitter expressed their thoughts on Watson’s comment writing things like, “I'm here for all the women. Sly little dig at JK Rowling there, Emma Watson?"
Fans React To Emma's BAFTAS Comment
Another person wrote, “I love the shade Emma Watson just threw at JK Rowling at the BAFTAs. She said, ‘I'm here for ALL of the witches, bar one.’ Emma is a QUEEN.”
“Emma Watson is bloody awesome, fair play to her,” another wrote alongside multiple, clapping hand emojis.
Back in 2020, Rowling came under fire after posting an opinion article from a global health website titled, "Creating a More Equal Post-COVID-19 World for People Who Menstruate."
‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?

Many people called J.K. out saying things like “Hi @jk_rowling, using non-gendered language is about moving beyond the idea that woman = uterus. Feminists were once mocked for wanting to change sexist language, but it’s now common to say firefighter instead of fireman.”

J.K. went on to tweet that “If sex isn't real, there's no same-sex attraction. If sex isn't real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn't hate to speak the truth."
And she concluded with “I respect every trans person's right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them. I'd march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans. At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it's hateful to say so."

Soon after J.K. shared her thoughts to Twitter, Harry Potter actors and other celebs spoke out against her thoughts, including Daniel Radcliffe, Watson, Eddie Redmayne, Jonathan Van Ness and more.
In a blog post issued by Radcliffe, he wrote, “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I. It's clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people. Not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm."
Rowling continued to post on Twitter about trans lives following the disagreement from colleagues and fans.
