The Williams Sisters Serena & Venus served at the 27th Critics' Choice Awards ceremony, and we can't stop eating up their glamorous looks!
This year's prestigious affair was a star-studded event filled with famous names, gorgeous outfits, and luxury brands as the best in the industry gathered for the occasion.
Although Venus and Serena Williams were notably known for their achievements in the tennis world, the Grand Slam champions proved they were also fashion icons.
Venus and Serena Williams Came To Shine At The Critics' Choice Awards
On Sunday, March 13, the Williams sisters bewitched the paparazzi with radiance as they stepped out on the red carpet at the 27th annual Critics Choice Award in matching silver gowns.
Taking to their individual Instagram stories, the tennis icons blessed fans with behind-the-scenes pictures from The Century Plaza Hotel, where the event was held.
Serena, known for her curvy body, flaunted her assets in a silver form-fitting sequin gown designed with a long pleated train that took over the red carpet.
The dramatic wave began from the athlete's left hip and trailed behind her for at least five-six feet. The 40-year-old accessorized her floor-length apparel with more dazzle featuring diamond bracelets and gorgeous drop earrings.
To complete her look, the mother-of-one styled her brown hair into a curly shoulder-length bob with blonde highlights while her makeup consisted of perfectly arched eyebrows, bronze eyeshadow, and glossy pink lipstick.
Given her breathtaking appearance, it was only natural that the 23-time grand slam champion tagged Donatella Versace, the designer responsible for the sophisticated look in her posts.
As for her older sister, the pro-tennis player also rocked a silver Versace outfit, but Venus opted for a sizzling number that showed off her long toned legs.
The 41-year-old donned a floor-length gown with a plunging neckline that left nothing to the imagination while the outfit's waist-high slits exposed the champion's thighs and legs.
The shimmering apparel was completed with the athlete's black hair styled straight down her shoulders plus silver accessories, including a pair of platform heels, a glitter-covered clutch, and simple jewelry.
In her post, the Olympic gold medalist tagged the people responsible for her dazzling look, including celebrity stylist Law Roach, the makeup artist Karina Milan, and hairstylist Lacy Redway.
The former world No. 1 singles titleholder also tagged the famous brands, Messika jewelry and Sophia Webster shoes for their luxurious contributions.
As shared by ET, the Williams sisters attended the 27th annual awards show in support of "King Richard," the biopic about their journey as tennis champions under the guidance of their father.
The emotional movie was nominated for six awards, including Best Actor, which Hollywood veteran Will Smith took home for his exceptional portrayal of Richard Williams.
During his acceptance speech, the "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" star expressed his profound gratitude to the Williams clan for inspiring not only him but the world with their story. The actor said:
"Thank you for entrusting me with your story. What you were able to do and what your family was able to do inspired everyone in this room, everyone in this country, and everyone around the world."
The Grammy winner continued, "You all define the American dream. You represent the best of what we all hope this world and this country can be."
The father-of-three also thanked his co-star Aunjanue Ellis for showcasing the influential role of Oracene Price as a mother to Venus and Serena.
The Critic's Choice Awards Was Rescheduled To March
Earlier this year, The Blast reported that the 27th Critics' Choice Awards ceremony would no longer be held on January 9, 2022.
At the time, the highly-anticipated event was rescheduled to March 13 following the surging cases caused by the Omicron variant.
However, this new date caused an unexpected problem for fans as it coincided with the BAFTA film awards. This event was initially scheduled for the mentioned day before the Critics' Choice Awards.
A spokesperson for the BAFTA association explained that they understood the "unprecedented circumstances" that led to the date change; however, they wouldn't reschedule their event.
As for the celebrities nominated for both prestigious awards, the Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin stated his team was working with the BAFTA committee to find a favorable solution.
