When asked about the filming process, the 98 degrees boybander revealed that “there’s really no way to predict or know how anyone is gonna act at any given point.”

“I didn’t go in with any kind of expectation,” he added. “I knew there were certainly some things that people felt like they wanted to get some closure on, and I think that those were accomplished for the most part.”

He also noted that watching the show “wasn’t always pretty as it happened,” given how only two of the couples actually ended up saying “I Do” at the altar.

“It’s really [difficult] when you’re dealing with emotion and humans and their lives, and there’s really no way to predict how that’s all gonna go down, honestly,” he added.

Although fans at home only get to see an hour of content, Vanessa reveals that “we were there for, gosh, three to four hours talking to them.”

“I know people are like, ‘Oh, I wanna see the other three hours,’ [because] you only got the one-hour version, but there’s a lot of emotion: both high highs, low lows,” she continued. “People were crying [and] people walked off set. Obviously, some of it got aired.”

She added that she hopes that viewers watching at home can be inspired by the show’s “raw human emotions.”

“Hopefully, people can watch it and learn from it, and hopefully, people can watch it and be intrigued by it,” she added. “I think ultimately when Nick and I wanted to [host the show] … we [wanted] people to start talking about seeing love in its true form, which is having an emotional foundation.”

Nick Lachey Reveals That He Was ‘Shocked’ By Shayne & Natalie’s Ending

One of the most tumultuous couples of the season was between Shayne Jansen and Natalie Lee. Although the two had a few fights and disagreements (and a potential love triangle with contestant Shaina Hurley, who also had feeling for Shayne), it seemed that Natalie was all-in to say “I Do” to Shayne at the altar. However, the couple had a huge fight the night before the wedding when Shayne told Natalie off-camera “You are the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Natalie couldn’t let that go and walked away from the wedding. Although she later went on the “We Have The Receipts” podcast to reveal that she is currently single, she did admit that she and Shayne did try dating for a few months after the wedding. However, neither of them could move on from the fight that doomed their marriage, and ultimately, their relationship.

“I think, for the most part, what happened on our wedding day and the day before the wedding day, that fight, I couldn’t move on from it,” Natalie said during the Netflix podcast. “And I don’t think he could either.”

“Also, I think it comes down to we are very different people,” she continued. “With different needs and wants. And we also have some communication issues. We just couldn’t figure out a solution or resolution to that.”

Although their relationship came to an end, the other contestants showed their support for the two, both individually and as a couple.

“I think that everyone was, including us as we watched the season unfold, was shocked to see the Shayne and Natalie narrative and kind of how it did [end],” Nick added. “Seeing that situation be resolved … was really beautiful to see because I think what happened there is you saw even the other couples chime in and say how much they were inspired by the two of them and how much they appreciated them as a couple.”

Season 2 of “Love Is Blind” is currently available to stream on Netflix. “Love Is Blind” season 3 has been filmed, although no release date has yet to be announced.
