The "Think Like A Man" producer, Steve Harvey, recently gave his 2 cents on Jennifer Hudson's intention to launch her talk show. He mentioned to People Magazine that the singer would be great for her new role.

"I like Jennifer Hudson. I think especially at her space now, with all she knows now — she's been a celebrity. She's a mom. She's been in relationships," he said. "You've gotta have all of that stuff under your belt because when you're talking to guests, you've gotta be able to relate. So I think Jennifer Hudson would be great."

However, while he showed utmost faith in Hudson, he added that it was no walk in the park.

"It's hard. Daytime TV is hard now," he added. "It's really hard."

Hudson's New Show Is Going To Replace 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

Per Variety, the show, which was shot on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," will be an hour-long and will replace Ellen as Warner Bros' new flagship show since the former is on its last season.

DeGeneres announced in May that she would end "Ellen" after 19 seasons after her contract ended in 2022. However, she had originally planned to end the show in 2019 but renewed the show for three final years.

Daytime talk shows are notoriously difficult, as most entries fold after their initial two-year station deals. "EllenDeGeneres" was a tremendous exception, lasting nearly twenty years and spawning spin-offs such as "The Masked Dancer," "Ellen's Game of Games," "Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways," and "Family Game Fight."
