'Bachelorette' Kaitlyn Bristowe Expresses Condolences To The Late Clint Arlis
In 2015, Arlis competed to win the heart of Kaitlyn Bristowe during the show's 11th season. Even though the pair did not part on good terms, Bristowe responded to his death in an Instagram Story.
“Alright, this is an Instagram Story I did not think I’d be doing tonight, but Clint, who was on my season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ I’m gonna say tragically… he tragically passed at 34 years old,” Bristowe began. “I’m not sure what happened, how it happened.”
“All I want to say is from knowing him on the show, even though, you know, things didn’t end on the best terms for us, from his time on the show to today, I have heard nothing but incredible things about that person.”
“From his peers, his students, his coaches, his teachers, his friends, his family,” she continued. “Clint was very well respected in his world, and it is an absolute tragedy of what’s happened.”
“This Instagram Story is literally to just say to anyone who knows him who might follow me that I am so sorry,” she concluded. “It’s such a huge loss, and I’m honestly just beside myself with this news.”
Bristowe ended up getting engaged to Shawn Booth at the end of the season, although they broke up three years later. She is currently engaged to Jason Tartick, who appeared on “The Bachelorette” in 2018 when he was passed over by Becca Kufrin.
Another contestant, Nick Viall, who also competed during the show’s 11th season, responded to the news as well. He tweeted: "Just heard about the passing of Clint Arlis. I got a chance to get [to] know Clint a little after our time on [Kaitlyn's] season and I always enjoy [our] time and conversations. A very kind, unique, and talented person who was taken from this world far too soon. RIP Clint."
