The pandemic's long-reaching effects are still felt around the world. According to a Bloomberg report late last year, the novel virus has killed over five million people since its first sighting in Asia in 2020. Even with Vaccines now available, many people are still vulnerable to the virus and its new mutations.
The entertainment industry has also suffered causalities in recent times. Film production worldwide was suspended while movie release dates got postponed on numerous occasions. Above all, several actors caught the virus and had to face its traumatic symptoms.
English actress Jessie Cave is now the latest Hollywood addition to Covid's causality list as she recently got hospitalized having contracted the virus.

The 34-year-old former "Harry Potter" star, who is expecting a new baby, shared the news with followers on Instagram, where she uploaded a snapshot from a hospital bed. In the photo, Jessie wore leopard print leggings and bright blue shoes, which displayed her belly hooked to a monitor.
She also captioned the photo to her 200,000 plus Instagram followers, "Once more, it's time for triage......"
"Anyone else had Covid in the third trimester and had it hit them like a ton of bricks for weeks?" she also asked her fans.
Cave, fondly remembered as Lavender Brown in the "Harry Potter" films, also posted another picture of herself on the bed via her Instagram story. She further quizzed her fans about the effects of a pregnancy-related drug that helped prevent nausea.
Although some responded that they felt better after taking the drug, others stated that it had no effect in easing nausea.
Fans Shared Supportive Message With Jessie Cave
Several fans quickly shared supportive messages in the comment sections, encouraging her through her ordeal. Some also recounted their own battles with the virus while wishing her strength to overcome its effects.
One follower wrote, "Oh honey. I'm so sorry. Like your body hasn't got enough to deal with. Sending you lots of love lovely x."
Another fan said," Jessie, I'm so sorry you're going through this now, hoping for a speedy recovery.
A third follower commented," Sending love and rest and the time you need for that. Hope you feel better soon."
From all indications, the actress is already responding to treatment after being hospitalized for some days. Fans expect that Cave will end her stay in the hospital once her doctors approve her bill of health.

Cave sill found time to praise her mother amidst her covid ordeals. The actress posted a throwback picture of her mother to celebrate 2022 international Women's Day.
She captioned the photo in part: "This is my favourite photo ever of my mum Debbie, who looks after my kids so I can work and has enabled me to feel fulfilled creatively all my life, but specifically since my first son was born. She also helps me run my doodle shop and has hand made every single prop or backdrop for my live shows. She's an artist, but would never call herself that and was actually a doctor. And then mother to 5."
The Hollywood star further thanked her mother and women worldwide for giving their kids the best care, even at the detriments of their careers.
Cave Is Expecting Her Fourth Child

Cave's visit to the hospital also coincides with her third trimester. The actress is expanding her family in the coming days having earlier confirmed she was expecting a fourth child.
Cave, who is also the mother of Donnie, six, Margot, four, and Tenn, one, shares her kids with her partner, comedian Alfred Brown.
Even though Cave's character Lavender played a minor role in the "Harry Potter" films, save for a hopeless infatuation with Ron Weasley and a flash death scene, Jessie is nonetheless well-known among fans of the fantasy franchise.
Since the finale of "Harry Potter" in 2011, Cave has continued acting and would feature in an upcoming animated series, "The Potters." Both shows share the same name but have nothing to do with each other.
