Gisele Bündchen, Rebel Wilson, & More Honor International Women's Day

On Tuesday, March 8, many women celebrated International Women’s Day. Celebrities like Gisele Bündchen, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and more weighed in. Take a look!

“Happy International Women's Day!” Gisele wrote alongside a photo of her mother and her daughter standing on a beach. “I am so grateful to all the amazing women have crossed my path and inspired me, specially my wonder mom and my sweet daughter.”

“May we celebrate each other and all the incredible woman that came before us paving the way for us to be where we are today,” she added. “Sending so much love to all of you on our special day. ❤️❤️❤️”

She also repeated her message in Spanish: “Feliz Dia Internacional da Mulher! Sou muito grata a todas as mulheres incríveis que cruzaram meu caminho e me inspiraram (especialmente minha mãe maravilha e minha amada filha.)”

She continued, “Que possamos celebrar umas as outras e todas as mulheres incríveis que vieram antes de nós, abrindo o caminho para estarmos onde estamos hoje. Enviando muito amor para todas vocês no nosso dia especial.”

Although it might be International Women’s Day, it’s also the birthday of Freddie Prinze Jr.

“Today is @realfreddieprinze birthday,” Gellar wrote alongside a smiling snap of the pair. “Normally this is where I would make a joke. But it’s also #internationalwomensday and it completely makes sense that you share that day, as there is no man that is a bigger champion and friend to women than you. I couldn’t think of someone better to raise a daughter with or to teach a son, what it truly means to be a good man. Happy birthday FP.”

On International Women’s Day, Vice President Kamala Harris also shared a quote from her mother.

“As my mother always used to say, ‘You may be the first to do many things, but make sure you are not the last.’ On International Women’s Day, we recognize how far women have come—and how far we have to go to achieve full equality and representation,” she tweeted.

President Joe Biden used his personal account to tweet, “On International Women’s Day and every day, let us recognize that all of us have a better future when women and girls can reach their full potential—and together, let’s renew our efforts to advance dignity, equality, and limitless possibilities for all.”

The official POTUS Twitter account tweeted, “On International Women’s Day, we recognize the achievements of women and girls around the world. As we celebrate the progress we’ve made, let’s recommit ourselves to the work that remains to deliver the full measure of equity, dignity, and opportunity due to all women and girls.”

“Pitch Perfect” actress Rebel Wilson took part in a video featuring many other influential women, such as Jane Fonda and Aisha Tyler.
