Former "90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days" cast member Geoffrey Paschel is facing a new development in his prison sentence.

Paschel has made many headlines over his time in the spotlight since appearing on the show in 2020, many of them pertaining to his lengthy list of past legal troubles.

Paschel was sentenced to 18 years in prison a month ago, following a conviction for kidnapping and assaulting his ex-fiancée in October of 2021. According to People, Paschel would "Not have the possibility of parole" as part of his sentence as well.

Paschel had begun serving time in the Knox County Jail in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee.

He will now be transferred to the Bledsoe County Correctional Facility where, according to Monsters and Critics, he will "Likely spend the next 18 years of his life."

Paschel's "90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days" past is ever present in his life.

Fans of the series may remember Paschel falling in love with Varya Malina, a now 30-year-old woman from Russia. The couple's relationship on the show was soon shaped by controversy after Malina struggled with Paschel's close friend Mary.

Paschel and Malina got engaged, and remained together after filming wrapped, and she currently lives in Knoxville.

The couple's official relationship status is still up for debate. According to ScreenRant, the couple may have already tied the knot.

Malina recently took to social media and spoke about a number of updates in her life.

She informed fans "Updates on Geoffrey. He was moved to another place. He is getting a new classification. He will be put in the place where we can visit him- his family at least," via Instagram Live, as per Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

Paschel's real life criminal matters affected his time on the show.

He had been prohibited from attending the popular post-season Tell All event due to "A petition started against him over his past arrests," according to a June 2020 report from The Blast.

Malina stood by her man and "Refused to attend the event," according to ScreenRant.

Paschel attempted to fight back on his banning by "Discussing a tell-all he filmed and wanted to release to fans," at the time, adding "It's not up to me. I would love to tell you everything."

Paschel is currently "Seeking a petition for a new trial and sentence hearing," according to Monsters and Critics.

The petition comes in light of Paschel's ex-wife giving a testimony in court "Without adequate notice." According to a tweet from the official Court TV account, "The defense believes Paschel's rights were violated" by Moon's testimony. Moon also referred to her ex-husband's sentence as "Excessive."

Paschell's past criminal charges also determined the length of his sentencing, according to People.

He had also been charged with "Two federal drug trafficking charges and a possession of a controlled substance with an intent to sell," the outlet also reported.

Paschell is still awaiting to see if his petition will be granted.
