As Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev keep postponing their wedding, speculations spread that the wife-to-be does not want to be his wife at all.

It turns out these claims are far from the truth as Bella gave a detailed explanation about the unforeseen situations regarding the postponement of her nuptials.

The soon-to-be spouses still have every intention to walk down the aisle, but their dedication towards their offspring and future together made them reconsider their proposed wedding expenses.

On Thursday, March 3, Bella kicked off a special edition of her and her twin sibling Brie's "The Bellas" podcast by debunking rumors around her future with Chigvinstev.

Bella and her partner are parents to an adorable 18-months-old son Matteo Artemovich. She noted that their commitment to providing him the best life is more important than a lavish wedding.

The current COVID-19 pandemic is another reason the couple has yet to tie the knot. Nevertheless, the retired WWE personality looks forward to that moment on her terms. She said:

"I will be getting married, and I can't wait. I do me, for me. So that means I'll marry Artem when I want, for me and Teo and him, for my life."

Bella also explained that when Chigvintsev is on tour, she becomes sad because she loves her life with him there and cannot imagine living without him.

The AGT: Extreme judge added, "I truly feel like, deep down in my heart, I've found the person that I do want to spend the rest of my life with, and I do want to get married to him."

Chigvintsev chimed in to confirm that he proposed knowing his partner's feelings about him and what she wants for their future together.

Bella revealed that financial situations have also caused her and her fiancé to hesitate about putting their money into a wedding or telling people about it. She explained:

"We're building a home that costs us four to five times more than we thought, and we want Matteo to have an amazing education. So we started to put all of our money in other places, and then we're like, 'Do we really want to spend all this on a wedding?' "

That does not mean the mother-of-one does not desire a memorable affair. Bella wants it to be "a dream" rather than a small affair put together because of limited finances.

Rumors began spreading that the TV personality did not want to marry the "Dancing with the Stars" pro after she recently said she did not want to go through a divorce on E! News Daily Pop. She said:

"The day I say 'I do' and give vows, I wanna make sure it's the rest of my life. Sometimes your perspective changes when you have children ... your kid becomes number one, but also you think of divorce and how does that affect my kid?"

Bella noted on her podcast that her statement about divorce was misinterpreted as a lack of desire to get married, and her praise for Chigvintsev was taken as her contentment with him as a baby daddy.

The "Total Bellas" star admitted that she and Matteo's father indeed have a beautiful life together and want to walk down the aisle soon, but she was also treading carefully.

Bella credited her carefulness to being "traumatized" by her public breakup in 2018 with her former longtime fiancé John Cena.

The "AGT Extreme" Judge Wants Second Baby With Her Partner

Bella has always been vocal about planning a future with Chigvintsev on her terms, such as when she admitted she wants baby Number 2.

Last October, The Blast disclosed that, during promotions for the return of the “The Bellas Podcast” on October 11, the co-host revealed she would not mind a second addition to her family.

Bella admitted this to US Weekly, noting it would only happen when she and her fiancé are ready. Yet she would love to have a girl or just another offspring before she clocks four decades.

The “WWE Total Divas” star said, “I would like if we did have a second, [to have it] right at 40 or right before 40.” For now, she is enjoying bonding with Matteo.
