Meghan Markle's internet-breaking sit-down with Oprah Winfrey has seemingly come back to bite her in the behind almost one year after it was aired.
As you might know, Harry and Meghan sat down with the media mogul a year after their exit from the royal family to discuss the severe challenges they faced during their time as royals.
Now, Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle is waging war over some facts Meghan shared during the bombshell interview.
Harry And Meghan Made Scorching Allegations Against The Royal Family
During the headline-making sit down with Winfrey, Harry and Meghan made some serious allegations against the Royal Family about how they were poorly treated.
Meghan, who was pregnant with daughter Lilibet at the time, revealed that she endured great mental distress during her pregnancy with her son Archie.
The Duchess of Sussex shared she felt isolated and unsupported by the institution causing her to fall into depression and have suicidal thoughts. Meghan noted that when she approached a certain senior royal for help, she was turned down because it wouldn't be good for the institution's image.
The former royal couple also made claims of racism within the family, especially towards their son, Archie. The former "Suits" actress and her husband confirmed to Winfrey there were "concerns" about Archie's skin color before he was born.
She recalled that the conversation about how dark Archie's skin might be was had with Harry in her absence. However, the couple refused to share the name of the guilty royal.
They, however, affirmed in a follow-up interview that it wasn't the Queen or late Prince Philip that made the statement.
The eye-opening interview was eerily similar to the late Princess Diana's sit down with Martin Bashir, where she opened up about the challenges of being a royal.
Samantha Markle Sues Meghan For Defamation During Oprah Interview
While most of the interview discussed the Sussexes' time as part of the Royal institution, Meghan also touched on her controversial relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister Samantha.
When asked about her relationship with half-sister Samantha in light of her autobiography, "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister," Meghan outrightly stated that she didn't have a relationship with her.
" I think it would be very hard to tell all when you don't know me… I don't feel comfortable talking about people I really don't know," Meghan stated.
The mother-of-two proceeded to talk about her childhood, saying she grew up as an only child and didn't interact much with Samantha. The duchess claimed that she last saw her half-sibling at least 19 years before the interview.
Meghan also alleged that Samantha only changed her last name to Markle when news broke she was dating Harry.
Now, Samantha is firing back at the claims Meghan made. Per TMZ, Samantha has taken her sister to court and is suing for defamation.
In the court documents obtained by the public, Samantha reportedly blasts Meghan for trying to paint a "rags to royalty" narrative to the public.
Samantha also accused the former royal of fabricating lies about her childhood as an only child and only seeing her "18, 19 years ago."
The 57-year-old stated that Meghan's lies about her and their father were part of an intentional effort to prevent them from interfering with or contradicting "the false narrative and fairytale life story concocted."
It's unclear what Samantha hopes to achieve with the lawsuit, but she strongly claims that the lies Meghan told during the interview hurt her life.

She alleged that Meghan's words have resulted in low sales of her book, caused emotional and mental distress, and made getting jobs difficult.
Meghan's Dress For The Interview Gets Recognition
Harry and Meghan have yet to publicly comment on the lawsuit, which is usually their style. However, her attorney Michael Kump released a statement concerning the situation.
Kump said, "This baseless and assured lawsuit is just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behavior. We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves."
Samantha's lawsuit comes on the heels of Meghan being recognized for the striking outfit she wore for the interview.
The duchess stunned in a black silk Giorgio Armani wrap dress for the interview, and the outfit was recently named the Dress of the Year 2021 by the Fashion Museum, per People.
The museum released a statement praising Meghan's choice, saying, "the Duchess chose a dress with a lotus flower design because of the flower's symbolic association with rebirth, self-regeneration and spiritual enlightenment."
