Aaron Carter is being accused by his ex-fiancée of punching her, causing three broken ribs, during a recent domestic dispute.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Melanie Martin filed a restraining order in Los Angeles Courts claiming the former couple got into a nasty fight on February 21, 2022, where the singer "punched" her on the left side, breaking several ribs.
The model detailed the stunning allegations in the legal filing, saying, "We had a fight about me talking to another man while we were broken up. He punched me in the left rib and pushed me. I didn't feel the pain until a few days later, then I left the house because he threaten to give me a restraining order."
Singer Aaron Carter Accused Of Breaking THREE Ribs Of His Ex-Fiancée
Melanie describes going to seek medical attention for the injuries, "I went to Kaiser, my doctor, and took X-rays." She included the diagnosis, "3 broken ribs." It should be noted, Martin attached medical records to the restraining order, which appear to confirm the existence of at least one broken rib. The documents include medical recommendations on how to treat broken ribs.
Unfortunately, the former couple shares an infant son, and Martin claims she and the baby were thrown out of his Los Angeles home.
"He tried to threaten me with a fake allegation if I didn't leave after, and all my things were still at the house, and my baby as well. So, we were thrown out on the streets, had to stay at a friend's and file this report after the doctor's visit," she wrote. Also she is asking to go and retrieve her possessions from the home, saying, "all my clothing is expensive, and need the baby items."
Aaron Carter & Melanie Martin's Domestic Dispute Is Being Investigated By Child Services
According to the filing, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services [DCFS] is now involved in the case to make sure the baby is safe, and help decide on the custody situation.
"DCFS is recommending to remove this child if he is in the hands of the father," Melanie writes. Adding "I will be with the child, not the father until the court decides with to do with legalities. I think he needs to go to anger management asap."
Aaron's ex-fiancee says a "social worker" working for the county has "documentation" of the fight and injuries.
As a part of the filing, Martin says Carter owns 4 guns -- a pistol, and a black "long gun" -- claiming they are all in a safe.
'I Want Candy' Singer Claims He Is Real Victim Of Physical Abuse
As for why the brutal fight started Melanie says, "I think that during the days of our break-up, he took too many of his prescription pills and it gave him too much aggression. He probably doesn't even remember he did so." Adding, "I think he needs anger management, counseling on how to control his anger. He is very jealous and needs to be more rational because he doesn't even remember he did so I believe."
As we reported, Aaron Carter filed his own domestic violence restraining order around the same time, claiming it was Martin who was the aggressor in the fight.
In his own filing, Carter alleges she is "verbally abusive, taunting, antagonizing, would not allow me to get any sleep all night loving, shoving & scratching & attempted to push me over the banister over 2nd story staircase." He also claims to have injuries due to the scuffle, a "scratch on the back and thumb."
Former Couple Is Scheduled To Face Off In A Los Angeles Courtroom
He added, she was "Disprsing (sic) medication down the toilet, public online slander, emotionally abusing me by threatening to kill herself which cause me to worry for the safety of our child," and that the abuse is on a 'weekly basis.'
The couple is due in court in the next few weeks to argue over a permanent restraining order on both sides. As for the custody, it appears DCFS is going to weigh in on the case.
