Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox recently expanded their family of five to six with the purchase of a kitten.

Fox has three sons from her previous marriage to Brian Austin Green.

The newly-engaged couple introduced their latest pride and joy, Whiskey, to social media. The punk-rocker posted a carousel of photos and videos to Instagram on Tuesday, March 1.

He captioned the post, “welcome Whiskey to the gang XX ?❤️.”

The cat appears to be of the Bengal cat breed, which is the kind of "designer cat" Kourtney Kardashian used to have. Justin and Hailey Bieber also own a Bengal cat.

This breed of cat has become increasingly popular among celebrities over the last few years.

It’s unknown if MGK and Fox purchased their fur-baby from the same breeder as Kourtney, but it’s no coincidence they have the same kind of cat.

While many of MGK’s fans were excited by the purchase of Whiskey, many voiced their concerns over the responsibility and time commitment of having a kitten.

One person commented, “Adorable but who is spending time with the cat when y’all are traveling 24-7. ?”

Another wrote, “Cats are amazing but are a lifetime commitment that deserve owners who aren’t traveling all the time.”

One concerned fan noted that MGK and Fox could’ve rescued versus buying direct from a breeder.

“Love MGK but he could’ve got a rescue instead ?,” they wrote.

Along with the adorable photos of the singer with his new pet was a video of the kitten suckling on his finger.

This too didn’t sit well with some people in his comments section.

“If she’s sucking on something like that she was separated from mom too early in most cases. She’s comforting herself,” one person wrote.

One fan noted how heartbreaking the video of the cat is.

“That last clip is heartbreaking. It looks like it was taken from its mother too soon,” they wrote.

According to PPHA, “It is a common misconception that kittens can be separated from their mothers as early as 8 weeks old. However, kittens separated at this time are still at risk for developmental, social, and health issues. Instead, kittens should remain with their mothers until they are 12-14 weeks old. By this age (and with proper human interaction and training), kittens should be able to go to the bathroom in an appropriate place (i.e. the litter box), play on their own instead of needing other littermates, they will have a fully developed immune system, should be fully vaccinated, and will not be a victim of unnecessary stress that comes from weaning too early.”

It's unknown how old the kitten is and how long ago MGK and Fox purchased the “designer cat.”

Other fans voiced their concerns about the crisis unfolding in Ukraine right now.

“Bro, speak up ??,” and “Ukrainian people, stay strong, the whole occident is ready to help you guys! ?????,” two concerned fans commented.

Neither MGK nor Fox have addressed fan backlash.
