Deepti Vempati’s Brother Calls Out ‘Loser’ Ex-Fiancé Shake: ‘No One Forced You To Say Those Words’

“Love Is Blind” reality star Deepti Vempati has some serious support in her corner.

Although she made it all the way to the altar with Abishek Chatterjee, known as Shake,  Deepti revealed that she was “choosing myself” and said, “I don’t.” Many fans applauded her for deciding not to marry Shake, who had been secretly telling his male companions that he was not physically attracted to her behind her back. At one point, he said that spending time with her was like spending time with his aunt. Ouch!

Fortunately, Deepti has an extremely supportive family, and that includes her brother, Sunny Vampati, and his partner, Hina Merchant Vempati. Together, the two penned an open letter to describe their experience with the Netflix reality show.

In a joint message they published on Instagram, the couple showed their support for Deepti.

“Ooooh wee what a rollercoaster of a season,” they began. “Deepu, we are SO incredibly proud of you!!! We’ve witnessed you grow into such an incredible and beautiful women; you’ve inspired so many people to realize their own self worth and demand what they deserve and settle for nothing less.”

“We wish you didn’t pick that [clown-emoji] but despite his childness, you carried yourself with grace and continued to see the good in people,” they continued. “We’re so d--- proud to call you our baby sister, and know we’re there for you always.”

“Thank you to EVERYONE for their incredible support,” they went on. “We really appreciate all of the kind messages, and we don’t take it for granted. We’ve read way too many tweets, and scrolled through way too many Reddit threads and Deepu is lucky to have such a massive support system; we are very thankful to all of you.”

“Now normally I don’t get involved in drama but I’mma defend my sister here: ‘Shake’, bruh, you’re a loser. You minimized by sister’s life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her,” they continued. “You made these statements knowing your own mom would one day watch it; my parents and my entire family had to sit through you talking behind my sister’s back and insecurities she fought her entire life. Despite your comments on and off camera about her body, she continued to only ever be supportive of you, despite our best efforts to convince her to see through your BS. THAT’S the person she is.”

“In spire of your best efforts to pretend this was all fictional and it was because of the ‘edit’, no one forced you to say those words,” they added. “We welcomed you into our home, and you saw it as an opportunity for clout; so forgive me if I’m not sympathetic towards you and the hate you’re receiving. Good luck with the rest of your life; and stay the f--- away from my sister.”

Many fans took to the comments of his post to share their support for the reality star.

“I was cheering her on in the finale when she left him at the altar! Your sister is a queen and Shake can say he ‘didn’t mean’ those comments the way they came across all he wants but from the moment he stepped on camera all of the viewers saw him for who he truly is,” one fan wrote. “He cannot hide from that. Deepti is a role model for many, many women and you should all be SO incredibly proud of her! ?”
