Volodymyr Zelenskyy Follows Madonna On IG After Her Ukraine Post!

Madonna joined the league of the many Hollywood celebrities who are raising their voice against Ukraine's invasion by Russia. It seems her post was powerful enough to get her a new and rather pertinent follower, even as fans debate if her posts are truly about raising awareness, or just narcissism.
The 63-year-old "Like A Virgin" singer, made it a point to denounce the attack, and went off about Putin, even as fans wondered, "did she have to put herself in the video?" Madonna went on to post more about Ukraine, before talking about new music, the 'Frozen' remix with Fireboy DML. Here are the recent happenings from her Instagram.
Madonna Slams Putin With Fan-Made Video
On February 26, Madonna tore into Putin with some choice words and a video that showed her grooving to the "Sorry" remix. She also wrote, "Russia’s Pointless and Greed Driven Invasion Of Ukraine MUST be stopped!!
Please Send in Humanitarian Aid to help millions of citizens of the Ukraine whose lives are being affected by this CRISIS at this very moment!!"
Then she denigrated Putin, writing, "Putin has Violated Every Human Rights Accord in Existence. Putin has no right to try to erase the existence of Ukraine. We support you President Zelensky!! We are praying for you and your country! 🙏🏼. God Bless You All!"
The "B**ch I'm Madonna" singer also wrote, "Let's not feel helpless when confronted by Geo-political Actions of this magnitude. There are things we can do." Her post was viewed more than 14 million times, rather impressive considering she has some 17.7 million Instagram followers.
While many fanned over her video, thanking her for taking a stand and sending her "love from Ukraine", others felt this was a "narcissistic video." Her latest post on Ukraine was no less divisive, as she yet again condemned Putin for the attacks, talking about the "innocent" people of Ukraine.

Madonna Has Got A New Follower In The Ukrainian President
Not everyone was a fan though, as there were comments about how she was inserting herself in the videos, against images of people getting bombed and hurt, and why she should not have danced around in a leotard as one Instagram user even dubbed it "tone-deaf".
One Twitter user also wrote, "She could’ve raised awareness without making it about herself but it’s Madonna so I’m really not surprised.”
The trolls continued, even as one Instagram user pointed out, "it's fanmade, there's the username at the bottom." The video was created by Twitter user @cafecomrafa and it juxtaposes clips of Madonna dancing along with footage of explosions in Ukraine. As Madonna croons, “I’ve listened to your lies and all your stories … and I can’t take it anymore", the lyrics fill the screen, and in one shot, there's an image of Adolf Hitler edited over the face of Vladimir Putin.
The trolls may not like it, and there may be several anti-Ukraine and pro-Putin statements in her feed, but Madonna, has earned herself in a new follower, in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Instagram account @zelenskiy_official).
In her next post, Madonna put a picture of her standing with the Ukrainian flag.

Promoting 'Frozen' Remix And Her Billboard Cover

After her Ukraine posts stirred up a storm, Madonna went back to promoting the "Frozen" remix, leaving fans a little aghast as one wrote, "are you kidding you're destroying this song... I can't believe it."
Another one also trolled her, writing, "And we thought Kanye and Britney lost their damn minds… nawww you are the Queen on crazy."
People want her to leave the song alone, never mind the strange outfits.
But she also has cause to celebrate, as she's on the cover of Billboard magazine, with an NFT. Wrote the 63-year-old singer, "So excited to be on the cover of @billboard magazine!! My first NFT was created By A Women-led organization called World of Women for Women’s History Month!!!"
We leave you with Madonna grooving to the "Sorry" remix with images of Ukraine in the background, under attack by Russia.
