Dame Helen Mirren has achieved another Hollywood milestone at 76!
The iconic actress is the recipient of various accolades, including being the only entertainer to win the Triple Crown of Acting Award in both the US and UK.

Helen Mirren Wowed The Audience With A Spectacular Acceptance Speech At The SAG Awards
The Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) was honored at the SAG Awards event held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, February 27.
“The Queen” star was presented with the SAG Life Achievement Award after a touching recollection of the actress’s wholesome career via a video montage and a beautiful tribute from Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett.
Taking to the stage, the naturally-gifted comedian instantly bewitched the audience with her charms as she joked about receiving a SAG Award at her age. The icon said:
“Lifetime achievement sounds so grand, I suppose I’m still alive, so by that measure, I’m eligible. But honestly, any achievement that I’ve succeeded in is the result of my mantra, which is basically, be on time and don’t be an ass.”
The crowd couldn’t help but laugh as Mirren continued, “Thank you S-A-G so much for this. I hate to say SAG at my age, it’s always S-A-G for me.”
The “Eye In The Sky” star humbly stated that she simultaneously felt proud and undeserving of the award, a problem she believed every entertainer understood.
In addition to dealing with her “insecurity versus ego” conflict, the 76-year-old also confessed that she struggled with her acceptance speech. In her words:
“I’ve been angsting about what to say tonight, and then it came to me: to all those people with whom I have shared my professional life, the actors! I will talk about actors.”
The Oscar winner dedicated her latest achievement to her “tribe of rogues and vagabonds,” which consisted of celebrated Hollywood stars including Winslet, Eleonora Duse, Anna Magnani, Monica Vitti, Olivia Coleman, Vanessa Kirby, and Michaela Coel.
Aside from her tribe, the screen legend’s tribute extended to all actors and actresses, whom the Londoner thanked for their “perception, emotional generosity, great intelligence, incredible energy, and helpless dedication” to their profession.
Last November, the “Catherine the great” actress was announced as the 57th recipient of the SAG Life Achievement Award, making her the most decorated SAG honoree.
The “Prime Suspect” star had 13 SAG Awards nominations and five SAG Awards Actor wins. However, the Life Achievement Award was the most meaningful trophy to the icon.
Following the announcement, the icon released a statement detailing her joy at becoming a prestigious award recipient. In her words:
“Since I was a young actor starting out, I have always been inspired by and learned from American screen acting, so this award is particularly meaningful for me.”
Fran Drescher, SAG-AFTRA President, also praised the legendary actress by describing her as a “brilliant and luminous talent,” who exceeded her incredible performances role after role.

Mirren might be one of the world’s most celebrated actresses, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t ready to beg for a good role.
As previously shared by The Blast, “The Hundred-Foot Journey” star was such a big fan of the “Fast & Furious” franchise that she begged Vin Diesel to be a part of it.
Regarding the incident, the icon self-deprecatingly joked that she shamelessly implored the “Riddick” actor to give her a role in his movies after the pair met at a function. In her words:
“And I was shameless: ‘Oh God, I’d just love to be in one of your movies! Please let me be in it.’ And then Vin, with that beautiful, deep voice of his, said: ‘I’ll see what I can do.’ And he did it for me.”
Thanks to “The Last Witch Hunter” actor, Mirren achieved her dream of driving a fast car in the ninth installment of the pulse-pounding action franchise “F9.”
