The Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) was honored at the SAG Awards event held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, February 27.

"The Queen" star was presented with the SAG Life Achievement Award after a touching recollection of the actress's wholesome career via a video montage and a beautiful tribute from Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett.

Taking to the stage, the naturally-gifted comedian instantly bewitched the audience with her charms as she joked about receiving a SAG Award at her age. The icon said:

"Lifetime achievement sounds so grand, I suppose I'm still alive, so by that measure, I'm eligible. But honestly, any achievement that I've succeeded in is the result of my mantra, which is basically, be on time and don't be an ass."

The crowd couldn't help but laugh as Mirren continued, "Thank you S-A-G so much for this. I hate to say SAG at my age, it's always S-A-G for me."

The "Eye In The Sky" star humbly stated that she simultaneously felt proud and undeserving of the award, a problem she believed every entertainer understood.

In addition to dealing with her "insecurity versus ego" conflict, the 76-year-old also confessed that she struggled with her acceptance speech. In her words:

"I've been angsting about what to say tonight, and then it came to me: to all those people with whom I have shared my professional life, the actors! I will talk about actors."

The 4-Time BAFTA Award Winner Begged Vin Diesel For A Role In His "Fast & Furious" Franchise

Mirren might be one of the world's most celebrated actresses, but that doesn't mean she isn't ready to beg for a good role.

Regarding the incident, the icon self-deprecatingly joked that she shamelessly implored the "Riddick" actor to give her a role in his movies after the pair met at a function. In her words:
