Jada Pinkett Smith Confesses Her Entanglement Days Are Over

Cox was pretty thrilled as she sang praises of Will during the SAG Awards on Sunday night for getting nominated for Lead Male Actor for his role in "King Richard." She said to the actor,

"Fingers crossed, this will hopefully be your year; we love you. Thank you for all the joy you’ve brought us."

However, she concluded her praises with a funny remark about Jada's past entanglement drama. Cox said to the "Girls Trip" star, "Thank you. We can't wait for more red table talk and more…more entanglements."

The couple took the joking comment in stride as they laughed it off with Jada saying "no more of those," and then Cox announced "no more entanglements."

Social media viewers found the moment funny, but they also wondered why the "Inventing Anna" star would bring up such a comment during a happy moment for the couple.

The 'entanglements' referred to Jada's extramarital affair in 2015 involving August Alsina. It was popularized when the 50-year-old revealed her relationship with the 29-year-old singer.

At the time, "The Matrix" star claimed she and Will were on a break, so she did not regard the relationship as wrongdoing.

The movie revolved around how the sisters began in sports and their rise to success. Will produced it while Saniyya Sidney acted as Venus and Demi Singleton starred as Serena.

Venus told Entertainment Weekly that whatever movie the 53-year-old was in would be the real deal, and upon hearing about the plans of the film, she and her sister knew it would be a serious one.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Will said the Williams sisters loved the production as they cried throughout their watch. He had hoped they would like it since the movie was basically about them.

To express his gratitude to his co-workers for their effort, the celeb gave them bonuses. The film was produced during the COVID period, and he believed the bonuses were fair because of the difficult production period.

Last October, The Blast reported that Jada opened up about the complications in her marriage to Will. She also discussed her entanglement with August Alsina on her Facebook show, "Red Table Talk."

With so many years of being together, the Smith couples have experienced challenges and continue to keep their relationship strong and healthy.

Earlier in 2021, Will revealed they had an open marriage which allowed them to have other sexual relationships outside their marriage.

During the show, which featured Gwyneth Paltrow and Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, the star admitted how hard it was to maintain a healthy bedroom life that she and Will always had to discuss.

Since they were sexually involved at a young age, she expected her partner to know what she needed sexually.

The American actress also fessed up about feeling uncomfortable to express her desires. However, she had grown out of expecting her husband to know what she desired sexually.

She elaborated, "Tell me what you need, tell me what you want, and on top of it, I know that I have to be accountable to do the same."
