Jamie Lee Curtis is bidding a fond farewell to her frightening, bloody, and nightmarish days as Laurie Strode in the "Halloween" franchise!

The iconic actress has spent over 40 years battling Michael Myers, one of the scariest murderers in horror movie history, but her days as an OG final girl are officially over.

The 63-year-old entertainer celebrated the last day of filming the final "Halloween" movie with various behind-the-scenes moments alongside an emotional message.

On Tuesday, February 22, Curtis announced on Instagram that her long, nerve-wracking journey as Laurie Strode in the "Halloween" movies has finally ended.

In her candid post, the "Knives Out" star shared a carousel of black-and-white pictures that captured the finalization of the slasher franchise and her part as Strode's character.

The first image featured a tribute to the horror star in the form of an arm tattoo that read, "LAURIE STRODE 4 EVER." However, it wasn't clear if this artwork belonged to Curtis.

The following slides consisted of different images, presumably from the film's set, including a snap of a man doing a handstand, a picture of the director in a "Halloween Kills" movie t-shirt and more.

Most notably in the emotional slideshow was a beautiful group picture of the "I'm gonna like me" author with her cast members and a snapshot of a star with the words "Our Final Girl" written underneath.

These behind-the-scenes photos were accompanied by the 2-time Golden Globe Award winner's lengthy farewell message, in which she expressed her gratitude for being a part of the celebrated series. The actress wrote:

"A bittersweet END for me on the Halloween movies. I've made great friends and have collaborated with wonderful artists on these three movies, and today my part in the film has been completed and with it the END for me of this trilogy."

The mother-of-two presumably emphasized the word "end" to show fans that her journey as Strode was officially over or perhaps because the trilogy's final movie was titled "Halloween Ends."

The "A Fish Called Wanda" star also gave a special shout-out to her fandom for their support before extending her gratitude to the creative teams at Blumhouse, Trancas, Miramax, Rough House Pictures, and Universal Pictures.

Naturally, her co-stars weren't excluded as the 63-year-old added a sweet thank you note to her "Strode Strong women," namely Judy Greer, Kyle Richards, and Andi Matichak.

Surprisingly, Curtis also thanked James Jude Courtney, the actor that played the terrifying villain Michael Myers in the "Halloween" trilogy. The heartfelt caption was concluded with the words:

"I love this crew and cast and I will miss you all. We can't wait for the fans to see the movie. You're going to #LYM @halloweenmovie #wearelauriestrode."

In addition to this unique photo dump, the "When I was little" author uploaded another slideshow of pictures taken from Savannah, Georgia, the location of the final "Halloween" movie set.

This series of images were black-and-white like the initial post, with the first snap featuring a stunning water fountain followed by different photos of a park.

"The Huffington Post" blogger captioned this post with her gratitude to the city for being a "lovely host" and thanked the staff of the Mansion on Forsyth Park for accommodating her.

Last month, The Blast reported that the critically-acclaimed actress regretted starring in a horror film despite being one of the most beloved stars of the thriller and slasher genre.

In 1999, the 63-year-old made the worst decision of her career by playing a role in the Sci-Fi and horror movie "Virus."

The film's plot revolved around an American crew fighting for their lives against diabolical aliens after the creatures took over a Russian vessel. Unfortunately, the only thing intriguing about the movie was its storyline.

"Virus" was massively criticized for being a box office failure, and it received a feeble rating of 12% on Rotten Tomatoes and 19% on MetaCritic.

Surprisingly, no one hated the movie as much as Curtis, who described the horror flick as a "piece of sh*t movie" that was unbelievably bad from the beginning to the end.
