Yearwood and Brooks have been together for more than a decade, and they do not plan on breaking their heartwarming union anytime soon.

Based on USA Today's report, Brooks' revealed the country couple could last that long because of their harmony, and he further shared their secret.

He stated, “I think you gotta treat it like a duet. You gotta harmonize. You gotta make your partner feel like they’re a star. And, if not, you’re gonna turn into a solo act pretty quick, if you know what I mean.”

Yearwood got married twice before her union with Brooks; once to Christopher Latham, a music producer, and another time to Robert Reynolds, a bassist.

Her first marriage lasted from 1986 till 1991, and not much is known about why the union ended. The marriage started when she was studying business administration at Belmont University and before her music career.

Yearwood’s first divorce was not easy as she was a people-pleaser who did not fancy saying or doing anything to make people uncomfortable.

In 1994, she married Reynolds, but they separated in 1999. The singer revealed that the divorce was difficult because she hung on to her past.

It was hard for her to move on from someone she was emotionally attached to, and she wondered if anything was wrong with her.

Not too long after her divorce from the bassist, the celebrity chef became romantically involved with Brooks, although they knew each other long before.

In 1987, Yearwood and the country music celeb first met while recording a song together. At the time, the songstress was married to Latham, and Brooks was married to Sandy Mahl.

Sparks flew between them, but they remained faithful with their partners. Later in 2002, when the pair were already divorced, they started dating each other and married in 2005.

Yearwood has no kids, but she is a stepmother to Brooks’ three daughters, who share a close relationship with her.

The Blast previously reported that the American TV personality told “Good Morning America” about how her present marriage is as successful as it is.

The List shared that the Grammy Awards winner had a passion for music since she was five years old. She described her interest in music as an obsession and did not want to do anything else.

The 57-year-old comes from a small farm town in Georgia, and she used to call her home an ‘organic haven.’ Her dad was a banker and farmer, while her mom was a cook.

When Yearwood was fifteen, she wanted to quit school to get a country music record deal, but her parents disagreed. So, she ended up finishing high school and going on to college.

Her music career began with a music internship at MTM Records, where she gained enough experience to become a demo singer. Around the same time, Brooks hired her to become a backup singer.

The exposure had a significant impact on her career as she was featured in Brooks ‘debut album in 1989, during which she also became a receptionist at a record label.

During a Q&A session at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Yearwood admitted that she knew she had to be aggressive to climb the ladder of success unless she would be a receptionist forever.

That led to her decision to connect with fellow musicians and writers and get singing jobs. People liked working with the star because of her low charges back then and her reliability.
