Singer James Blunt is turning 48 today!

Blunt was actually born James Hillier Blount on February 22, 1974, in Tidworth, United Kingdom. He is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. One fun fact about Blunt is that he actually served as a reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards regiment of the British Army. He served under NATO during the 1999 Kosovo War.

Blunt has since made a name for himself in the entertainment industry due to his unique vocal sound. He has won several awards for his music, including two BRIT Awards, including one for Best British Male in 2006. He has also won two MTV Video Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards, and has received five Grammy Award nominations for his music. In 2016, he was even awarded an Honorary Doctorate for Music from the University of Bristol.
