Taylor Swift Fans Wish Joe Alwyn A Happy 31st Birthday!

Actor Joe Alwyn is turning 31 today!

He started dating his longtime girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift, in October 2016. Things have been going so great for the couple lately that there are rumors that they're engaged!

In the song "betty" off her "folklore" album, Swift sings, "you heard the rumors from Inez / you can't believe a word she says / most times / but this time it was true." Ironically, Joe had a hand in writing this song as well.

Life & Style reported that the low-key couple actually got engaged on a three-day trip to Cornwall back in January. There were multiple reports at the time with rumors that she was engaged, but Life & Style waited until a month later to make the reveal.

But fans still haven't heard anything from Taylor or Joe yet and they're waiting for the official word before offering their congratulations to the happy couple!

In 2018, Joe told British Vogue that "I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private, and that has now sunk in for people … but I really prefer to talk about work."

After the "I Bet You Think About Me" singer won Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Taylor thanked Joe by name, saying, "Joe, who is the first person that I sing every single song that I write." She also said that she had "so much fun writing songs in quarantine with him."

Fans who watched "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions" on Disney+ know that Joe actually worked with on multiple tracks for "folklore" and her follow-up album "evermore."Writing under the pseudonym William Bowery, Joe helped create "betty" and "exile" on "folklore." He also contributed to "champagne problems," "coney island" and "evermore" from her "evermore" album.

During the documentary concert, Taylor explained that "Joe plays piano beautifully and he’s always just playing and making things up and kinda just creating things."

"I was like, ‘Hey, this could be really weird and we could hate this, [but] because we’re in quarantine and there’s nothing else going on, could we just try to write this song together?'" she continued.
